Hepatitis A adalah penyakit hati akibat virus hepatitis A yang dapat menyebabkan kesakitan ringan sampai berat. Di Indonesia Hepatitis A sering muncul dalam Kejadian Luar Biasa (KLB). Tahun 2014 tercatat 3 Provinsi dan 4 Kabupaten terjadi KLB dengan jumlah penderita 282. Penyelidikan epidemiologi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran KLB dan mengidentifikasi faktor risiko KLB Hepatitis A di Kabupaten Tangerang tahun 2016. Desain studi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain kasus kontrol. Penyelidikan dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2016 di Kabupaten Tengerang. Latar belakang. Kota Palopo merupakan salah satu daerah endemis demam berdarah Dengue di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Lingkungan rumah memiliki peran penting dalam penularan penyakit demam berdarah Dengue sebagai media interaksi antara nyamuk Aedes Aegypti dan manusia. Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor lingkungan rumah dengan kejadian demam berdarah Dengue.Metode. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik dengan rancangan studi kasus kontrol. To promote HIV-testing and offer optimal care for men who have sex with men (MSM), health-care providers (HCPs) must first be aware of their patients’ sexual behaviors. Otherwise, HCPs may overlook MSM’s risks for HIV infection and their special health-care needs. For MSM, reporting their same-sex behaviors to HCPs (disclosure to HCPs) may promote their linkage to HIV prevention and treatment cascade and improve their health outcomes. Scale development and validation are critical to much of the work in the health, social, and behavioral sciences. However, the constellation of techniques required for scale development and evaluation can be onerous, jargon-filled, unfamiliar, and resource-intensive. Further, it is often not a part of graduate training. Objective: To assess the feasibility, benefits, and challenges surrounding individual-level versus aggregate data reporting by jurisdictional EHDI programs to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Methods: Using data reported to CDC by three jurisdictions in 2011, descriptive statistics were used to assess the feasibility of collecting and reporting individual-level data. Comparisons were made on what can be learned from individual-level data as opposed to CDC’s aggregate survey data.

Results: Individual-level data provided a detailed overview of the population served, services received, and variations across jurisdictions in data collection, reporting, and quality monitoring practices. Several challenges and areas needing …

Cinomade is an association that tries to sensitize the populations about the HIV pandemic in Burkina Faso. Télé Vaka, literally the "Neighborhood Television" in more language, was an itinerant local television around Koudougou in Burkina Faso. We examined use of a farmers’ market that leverages community partnerships to provide free produce to lower-income persons. Participants (n = 422) were asked to complete a questionnaire and given an ID number, which was used to track market use from 2014 to 2015. Chi square tests were used to examine associations between 2014/2015 market use and reasons for market use, financial support received, and how attendees had learned about the market. Ordinal regression was used to identify household characteristics associated with increased market attendance. The rate of overweight and obesity among adolescents aged 12-19 years has more than tripled since 1980, and disproportionately impacts low-income and marginalized populations. Reduction in adolescent obesity rates may result in decreased health risks, decrease healthcare costs, and increased quality of life. Effective intervention methods for adolescent participants have incorporated nutrition knowledge and culinary skill building into afterschool programs. This study examines whether building knowledge, skills, and confidence through a culinary intervention can improve adolescent participants’ choices of healthful foods through increased fruit and vegetable intake.
