Dehidrasi merupakan salah satu tanda dari ketidakseimbangan cairan tubuh. Status hidrasi penduduk indonesia yaitu 49,2% penduduk tidak terhidrasi dengan baik. Salah satu kelompok yang berisiko tinggi terhadap dehidrasi adalah petani garam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor risiko dehidrasi pada petani garam yaitu faktor pengetahuan, faktor aktivitas fisik, faktor asupan cairan, dan faktor alat pelindung diri terhadap kejadian dehidrasi. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat observasional analitik dengan desain studi cross sectional. Jumlah subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 100 yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan, dan aktivitas fisik bukan merupakan faktor risiko dehidrasi pada petani garam. …

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between antenatal care and labor complica tion among Indonesian’s mothers. Data of the Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2012 from 33 Provinces were used in this study. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari pelaksanaan Sero Survei HIV/Sifilis yang terintegrasi dengan Survei Cepat Perilaku di DKI Jakarta pada tahun 2013 - 2014. Background: Elder abuse is a common phenomenon with important effects on the health and well-being of older adults. There are important gaps in elder abuse measurement, as it is usually reported as the absence or presence of elder abuse, disregarding its severity and frequency.

Objectives: Identify different ways of measuring severity and frequency of elder abuse and assess whether different experiences of severity and frequency suggest syndemic relationships.

Immigrants and refugees represent an underserved population in need of quality, accessible, and culturally appropriate healthcare and education. Diabetes is a chronic condition frequently seen in this population. The author utilized the Wagner Chronic Care Model (CCM) as a theoretical framework for planning diabetes education delivery in this diverse population. Studies report significant health disparities in diabetes care and subsequent poor diabetes quality indicators in refugees and immigrants. Research has found that culturally sensitive diabetes education can improve diabetes outcomes in ethnically diverse populations. Problem: Heart failure (HF), also known as congestive heart failure (CHF), is the number one diagnosis-related group (DRG) for people 65 years of age and older in the United States. This disease group is complicated and debilitating, requiring frequent hospitalizations with high mortality rates. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) has identified CHF as an area for improvement in hospitals.

Among women living in the United States, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death. Disproportionate racial disparities in breast cancer exist, with African American (AA) women consistently having the highest rates of breast cancer related mortality despite lower incidence. This study attends to the Institute of Medicine's (IOM) call to action recommending the identification of effective strategies for communicating accurate and reliable breast cancer risk information to diverse audiences. After the emergence of H5N1 avian influenza in 1997 Hong Kong implemented a sophisticated system to regulate live poultry markets. While this system is well implemented and thorough, it also has limitations. The rise of H7N9 avian influenza (which is typically acquired through contact with poultry, including in live markets) makes this an appropriate time to revisit the ethical and practical issues related to this trade. The purpose of this study was to identify ideas about how occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals influence decision-makers on matters impacting occupational health and safety management systems. A modified nominal group technique was used that involved 67 participants in ten nominal groups and identified the most important ideas about how OSH professionals can influence workplace safety and health decision making. The research produced themes of communication, scientific, professionalism, leadership, adaptability, and business acumen that resulted in six domains of occupational safety and health professional influence.

This was a crosssectional study held in Bulu Primary Health Care, Temanggung, Central Java, Indonesia. The sample size required for this study was 69 based on the Slovin formula.
