Difteri merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Bila ditemukan satu kasus difteri di suatu wilayah maka dapat ditetapkan sebagai KLB. Provinsi Lampung terus mengalami kenaikan kasus dan suspek difteri sejak 2020 dan turut menyumbang angka kematian akibat difteri pada tahun 2023. Kasus difteri dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor risiko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran distribusi dan faktor risiko kasus difteri di Provinsi Lampung dengan memetakan kabupaten/kota berdasarkan persebaran dan faktor risikonya. Penerimaan vaksinasi COVID-19 tahap III (booster) tiap kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan memperoleh cakupan yang berbeda-beda. Jika dibandingkan dengan kabupaten/kota lainnya, Kabupaten Wajo memperoleh cakupan vaksin COVID-19 tahap III (booster) masih rendah yaitu 14.06%, dimana Desa Watan Rumpia memiliki persentase cakupan vaksinasi COVID-19 tahap III (booster) terendah per 16 Agustus 2022. Di Indonesia, terdapat sebanyak 9,2 juta jiwa penyakit kelainan fungsi paru. Sopir angkutan umum yang merokok berisiko mengalami kelainan fungsi paru yang diakibatkan oleh rokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan berat derajat merokok terhadap gejala kelainan fungsi paru pada sopir angkutan umum di Terminal Kampung Melayu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei tahun 2023 di Terminal Kampung Melayu dengan desain cross-sectional pada 102 sopir angkutan umum sebagai sampel. This proposal advocates for implementing mandatory mindfulness and stress reduction training sessions for surgical students at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). It is well-documented that medical students, particularly those in surgical disciplines, experience high levels of stress, which can negatively impact their mental health, academic performance and overall well-being. Mindfulness-based interventions have shown promise in reducing stress and enhancing resilience among medical students. By integrating mindfulness training into the surgical curriculum, PCOM aims to equip students with essential coping skills to effectively manage stress, thereby promoting their mental health and academic success. Understanding how PA barriers and facilitators occur at multiple levels of influence may help tailor PA interventions for AA women. Background: Within the field of robotic thoracic surgery, the association between facility surgical volume, conversion rates, and patient outcomes across multiple procedures has not been explored. This study aims to examine the potential association between robotic lung cancer resection surgical volume and conversion rates for robotic-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE). Methods: A retrospective analysis of the National Cancer Database, between the years 2010–2018 was conducted. INTRODUCTION: Genetic variants contribute to differential responses to non-insulin antidiabetic drugs (NIADs), and consequently to variable plasma glucose control. Optimal control of plasma glucose is paramount to minimizing type 2 diabetes-related long-term complications. India's distinct genetic architecture and its exploding burden of type 2 diabetes warrants a population-specific survey of NIAD-associated pharmacogenetic (PGx) variants. The recent availability of large-scale whole genomes from the Indian population provides a unique opportunity to generate a population-specific map of NIAD-associated PGx variants.

BACKGROUND: Surgical opioid overprescribing can result in long-term use or misuse. Between July 2018 and March 2019, the multicomponent intervention, Minimizing Opioid Prescribing in Surgery (MOPiS) was implemented in the general surgery clinics of five hospitals and successfully reduced opioid prescribing. To date, various studies have shown a positive outcome of similar reduction initiatives.
