Health Care Associated Infections (HAIs), salah satu masalah kesehatan yang dapat meningkatkan morbiditas dan mortalitas pasien yang dirawat. Di Asia Tenggara, prevalensi HAIs mencapai 21,6% dengan Indonesia sebagai negara dengan prevalensi tertinggi, yaitu 30,4%. Pencegahan dilakukan melalui surveilans HAIs oleh Komite Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi (PPI). Obesity significantly impacts women’s health, particularly among middle-aged women, by increasing the risk of hormone-sensitive cancers such as breast, endometrial, and reproductive system cancers. This study examines the educational needs of this demographic group regarding obesity-related cancer risks and explores effective intervention strategies. Obesity-induced mechanisms – hormonal imbalances, chronic inflammation, and insulin resistance – drive cancer susceptibility, emphasizing the need for targeted health education. The study employs a qualitative design, which includes interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) and surveys of middle-aged women. Purpose: We performed interviews with patients and caregivers to explore whole-person, whole-regimen information needs at times of routine outpatient medication changes. We categorized information needs in this relatively unstudied context and identified which needs were commonly recognized as insufficiently met.

Methods: We explored the content of the semi-structured interviews, which involved nine patients and two caregivers of pediatric patients, all of whom experienced a recent medication change in the outpatient setting of a large urban academic healthcare system. We used inductive thematic analysis to organize information needs into categories to identify key information gaps.

Stunting merupakan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang dialami anak-anak akibat gizi buruk, infeksi berulang dan stimulasi psikososial yang tidak memadai. Menurut Survei Kesehatan Indonesia (SKI) 2023, prevalensi stunting di Indonesia sebesar 21,5%, sementara Lampung 14,9% yang menempatkannya pada posisi ke-empat terendah setelah Bali, Jambi dan Riau. Data BKKBN Kalimantan Timur menyebutkan, dari sekitar 800 ribu pasangan usia subur (PUS), hanya 60,1% yang menggunakan alat kontrasepsi. Hampir 40% PUS belum berpartisipasi dalam program keluarga berencana yang berdampak pada peningkatan angka kelahiran dan beban kesehatan reproduksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik dan variabel penggunaan kontrasepsi pada PUS di Kalimantan Timur, serta hasil klasifikasi dan evaluasi model CHAID berdasarkan akurasi, recall, presisi, dan F1-score. Background: Colorectal cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States (U.S.), ranking as second most prevalent overall. Despite many initiatives, screening rates remain low, especially among clinic patients without insurance. The lack of an evidence-based screening protocol exacerbates these issues and increases the risk of advanced cancer and death. Initial data showed that 0% of patients were screened according to recommended guidelines.

Minorities disproportionately attend minority-serving hospitals (MSHs) and safety-net hospitals (SNHs). This study examines whether MSHs or SNHs are more culturally competent than their counterparts. No research to date has examined the cultural competency of MSHs and SNHs with hospitals outside of these categories. The literature on the determinants of hospital-level cultural competence is sparse, with limited measures used nationally and a robust measure used in a single U.S. state. I calculated a 100-point score of hospital cultural competence from a nationally representative survey of hospitals (N = 849 respondents).
