The Ministry of Health has issued Minister of Health Regulation Number 21 of 2021 to strengthen maternal health services, which regulates health services during pregnancy (antenatal). The Minister of Health's regulation states that antenatal care is carried out at least six times, 2 (two) of which are examinations with a doctor using an Ultra Sonography (USG) device. Community health centers as primary services are expected to be able to provide antenatal services according to standards. The North Lampung Health Service has distributed ultrasound equipment to community health centers in the North Lampung Regency to support the implementation of antenatal services. …

Public Health Centers (PHCs) are responsible for organizing public health efforts and individual health efforts. PHCs also serve as FKTP, UPTD, sub-district supervisors, and implementers of policies and programs from the Ministry of Health. The workload of PHCs is increasing because people visit PHCs primarily for treatment, rather than seeking preventive measures to stay healthy. The PHCs have Sub-PHCs to lighten the workload of the PHCs, but there is no policy regulating Sub-PHCs to be used as FKTP. Objective: To examine any perceived barriers that might exist in the United States healthcare system and gather data on how different patients experience the system.

Methods: The study utilized a correlational analysis with usage of a Likert scale survey administered to U.S.- born natives, immigrants, and healthcare providers. The survey assessed respondents of their access to healthcare services, barriers to healthcare services, healthcare provider trust/relationships, and health institutions’ relations. Another survey assessed healthcare providers’ belief in the efficacy of their services and health institutions’.

Florence County is at the heart of the seven-county Pee Dee Region of South Carolina with a diverse population of about 136,000 residents. Home to McLeod Regional Medical Center and MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, the area boasts more than 750 licensed beds. Despite being home to world-class medical care, the county faces significant health challenges, including high rates of chronic diseases, such as diabetes and obesity, and a shortage of healthcare providers in certain areas. Due to growing health disparities in underserved communities, a comprehensive approach is needed to train physicians to work effectively with patients who have cultures and belief systems different from their own. To address these complex healthcare inequities, Rowan-Virtua SOM implemented a new curriculum, The Tensegrity Curriculum, designed to expand beyond just teaching skills of cultural competence to include trainees' exploration of cultural humility. Our research aimed to gain a better understanding of the language access needs in Southern New Jersey. We analyzed census data in order to determine the prevalence of LEP populations in Southern New Jersey, as well as the languages most spoken by LEP populations. Implementing outreach programs, the initiative provides healthcare and post-treatment follow-up to this demographic. The proposed project, a component of this study, concentrates on individuals with substance abuse disorder, specifically targeting those who have been onboarded but subsequently lost to follow-up. In the United States, approximately 20 million people are diagnosed with substance abuse disorder, yet in 2016, only 3.8 million received treatment. The Impella, a ventricular assist device, is crucial for managing severe heart failure and cardiogenic shock. Despite its widespread use, there's scant information on how hyperlipidemia affects Impella patients. To address this gap, we delved into the National Inpatient Sample Database from 2019 and 2020. Our aim was to scrutinize in-hospital outcomes among these patients. We identified 8233 Impella patients, among whom 1012 (12.3%) had hyperlipidemia. Those with hyperlipidemia displayed higher rates of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and chronic kidney disease compared to their counterparts without hyperlipidemia. Shockingly, in-hospital mortality was notably elevated in the hyperlipidemia group, emphasizing its clinical significance. …
