The aim of this study was to compare, in vitro, the cleaning efficacy of three different irrigation techniques: syringe irrigation (Navitip) using NaOCl, sonic irrigation system (EndoActivator), and passive ultrasonic irrigation system (PUI) on debris and smear layer distribution in the root canal at three different levels. Materials and Methods: Sixty freshly extracted single-rooted human mandibular premolars were decoronated to a standardized length of twenty millimeters. Anti-cardiolipin (anti-CL) antibodies are autoantibodies which are directed against cell membrane phospholipids. A significant number of periodontitis patients showed positive for anti-CL antibody. Objective: This study aimed to determine the periodontal parameters and anti-CL antibodies levels before and after non-surgical periodontal therapy in chronic periodontitis. Methods: This cross-sectional study had been carried out at Periodontal Clinic, Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan, Malaysia. Multiple ulcerations are rarely caused by a traumatic event, but seizures can induce repeated injury to the oral mucosa. A patient with a seizure history possesses a challenge in their dental management. This study used micro-computed tomography (µCT) to compare voids and interfaces in single-cone obturation among AH Plus, EndoSequence BC, and prototype surface pre-reacted glass ionomer (S-PRG) sealers and to determine the percentage of sealer contact at the dentin and gutta-percha (GP) interfaces. Dental pulp-capping is done to preserve vital teeth when the pulp is exposed due to caries, trauma or instrumentation. Various materials are used as pulp-capping agents. The introduction of newer materials requires scientific studies to assess their clinical efficacy. The study was designed as a split-mouth randomized analysis of four pulp-capping agents (calcium hydroxide, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine and EndoSequence root repair material (ERRM)). Based on selection criteria, 15 orthodontic patients requiring the extraction of four premolars (60 teeth total) were included in the study. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of the Wirele-X (Forum Tec, Ashkelon, Israel), a new Bluetooth-enabled electronic apex locator (EAL). The accuracy of the Wirele-X and the Root ZX II (J. Morita, Tokyo, Japan) was compared in vitro using an alginate model. Materials/Methods: Thirty-one extracted single-rooted human teeth with mature apices were decoronated at the CEJ. Under 10X magnification, actual canal lengths (ACL) were determined. การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพและองค์ประกอบทางเคมีของไบโอเซรามิกรูทคาแนลซีลเลอร์ที่ผลิตจากเปลือกหอยแครง (ไบโอซีลเลอร์) กับไบโอเซรามิกรูทคาแนลซีลเลอร์ซึ่งมีจำหน่ายในท้องตลาด (ไอรูทเอสพี) โดยทำการสังเคราะห์ผงไตรแคลเซียมซิลิเกตจากเปลือกหอยแครง และตรวจสอบองค์ประกอบทางเคมีด้วยการทดสอบการเลี้ยวเบนของรังสีเอกซ์ ผลการทดสอบพบว่าสารที่ผลิตได้ประกอบด้วยไตรแคลเซียมซิลิเกตเป็นส่วนประกอบหลัก จากนั้นจึงนำมาผสมกับสารเติมแต่งเพิ่มเติมเพื่อผลิตเป็นไบโอซีลเลอร์ ทำการทดสอบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีตามมาตรฐานการทดสอบไอเอสโอ 6876/2012 ได้แก่ การไหลแผ่ เวลาแข็งตัว ความหนาชั้นฟิล์ม การละลายตัว และความทึบรังสี นอกจากนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาค่าความเป็นกรด-ด่าง และปริมาณแคลเซียมอิออนที่ถูกปล่อยออกมาที่ระยะเวลา 3 ชั่วโมง 1 วัน 3 วัน 7 วัน 14 วัน และ 28 วัน รวมถึงศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีหลังแข็งตัวเต็มที่ของซีลเลอร์ทั้งสอง คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีมีค่าผ่านตามมาตรฐานไอเอสโอ 6876/2012 ยกเว้นคุณสมบัติด้านการละลายตัว สำหรับค่าความเป็นกรด-ด่างของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีในช่วงระยะเวลาที่ทำการทดสอบพบว่ามีค่า 9.23-10.35 และ 8.83-10.39 ตามลำดับ ส่วนปริมาณแคลเซียมอิออนที่ถูกปล่อยออกมาพบว่าไอรูทเอสพีปล่อยแคลเซียมอิออนมากกว่าไบโอซีลเลอร์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในช่วงแรกแต่ไม่แตกต่างกันที่ช่วงระยะเวลา 14 และ 28 วัน นอกจากนี้การศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีหลังแข็งตัวเต็มที่พบองค์ประกอบที่ยืนยันการเกิดปฏิกิริยาไฮเดรชันของวัสดุ ดังนั้นจึงสามารถสรุปได้ว่าไบโอซีลเลอร์มีคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพที่ดีและมีคุณสมบัติใกล้เคียงกับไอรูทเอสพี

Introduction: Enterococcus faecalis and Candida albicans are frequently found in persistent endodontic infection and are resistant to calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), a commonly used intracanal medication. Thus, an effective and safe antimicrobial medication against such refractory infection is necessary in endodontic retreatment, so we aimed to test the efficacy of chitosan paste against these microorganisms compared with Ca(OH)2 in root canals of extracted human teeth. Purpose: In recent years, bioceramic sealers (BCS), such as EndoSequence BC Sealer, have gained popularity in endodontic practices. Previous research has found BCS difficult to remove from canals during retreatments when compared with other endodontic sealers. Acidic solutions have been found to inhibit the set of BCS and increase their solubility. Aim: to evaluate the postoperative pain of using Propolis versus Calcium hydrox- ide as intracanal medications on post-operative pain in necrotic teeth. Subjects and Methods: 40 patients requiring endodontic treatment for single rooted teeth were en- rolled in this analysis.
