This is a digitally created scrapbook featuring vineyard planting and construction of the Mt. Hood Winery hospitality venue. The planting of the vineyard began in 2002, with the hospitality venue opening in July 2009. Members of the Bickford and Stehlik families are featured throughout in the photographs. Mt. Hood Winery, the vineyard, and the hospitality venue are all located in Hood River, Oregon.

Bosnia-Herzegovina (B-H) remains one of the most underdeveloped countries on the European Continent yet it holds great potential as a tourist destination for outdoor adventurers, history enthusiasts, and now, wine connoisseurs. The southern part of this merged nation has always been an area of wine production, but the industry has been slow to develop into a net exporter of its wines. The tasting was a blind comparison of the 1983 Pinot Noir vintages from Burgundy, France and Oregon, U.S.A. Vitis vinifera L. cv. Chardonnay vines were fertilized to approximate baseline, low, medium, and high grape-leaf potassium contents, relative to viticultural target values. From those vines, twelve replicates of leaf-discs were made per fertilizer treatment. The leaf-discs were populated with individuals of Willamette spider mite, Eotetranychus willamettei (McGregor) and maintained in a plant growth chamber (25°C, 14L:10D h). Data pertaining to maturation time (days), pre-oviposition period (days), lifetime fecundity (eggs / ♀), and longevity (days) of E. willamettei was recorded daily. ‘Edelweiss’ is an important grape cultivar grown in the Midwestern part of the USA. This grapevine is tolerant to extreme winter temperatures which can be experienced in the areas where it is most widely grown. ‘Edelweiss’ is one of the earliest cultivars in the vineyard to break bud, making it very susceptible to late spring freezes. The primary buds of ‘Edelweiss’ produce a significant amount of fruit, while unlike many other hybrids, the secondary and tertiary buds will have little to no yields, thus making it important to protect the primary buds from a late freeze. Consumer demand for intensely coloured wines necessitates the systematic testing of pigment extraction in Sangiovese, a cultivar poor in easily extractable anthocyanins. Pre-fermentation (absent, cold soak pre-fermentation at 5 °C, cryomaceration by liquid N2 addition), temperature (20 or 30 °C), and saignée were compared during vinification (800 kg). Concentrations of anthocyanins, non-anthocyanic flavonoids and SO2-resistant pigments were recorded daily. A semiparametric Bayesian model permitted the kinetic description and the comparison of sigmoidal- and exponential-like curves. This harvest report for the Oregon wine industry from 2014 explains how growers and winemakers experienced a nearly perfect season, resulting in exceptional quality and high yields for much of the state. Some sites were impacted by a freeze in December of 2013, however, which resulted in some vine and bud damage in select areas. The record for heat accumulation during the 2014 growing season was broken due to higher than normal overnight temperatures throughout the year.

This harvest report for the Oregon wine industry from 2013 describes the season as "a play in two acts, with a wet intermission." Vintners were surprised by record rainfall one weekend in late September after a warm and dry summer. The rains, remnants from a typhoon in Japan, mostly affected the Willamette Valley, but effects were variable even within that region; southern and eastern Oregon were less affected by the storm.
