The generation of electronic data using the land plot scheme while maintaining the land cadastre provides significant convenience for users. Based on this concept, the author explains the conditions, factors and elements of the formation of the contours of land within the land, which plays an important role in the land cadastral work. The article presents the data of scientists who conducted theoretical and experimental research on centrifugal fans, they refined the calculations, improved technical characteristics and aerodynamic designs of centrifugal fans. Aerodynamic and technological schemes of centrifugal fans installed to the sprayer have been developed. The theoretical and experimental studies conducted by scientists are described: Nevelson MI, Cherkassky VM, Kalinushkin MP, Ivanov O. P., Turbin B. G., on the basis of which the authors developed a method for calculating the main parameters of the working bodies centrifugal fan. At the article the combined energy complexes based on renewable energy sources implemented in various countries is analyzed. The regime issues of the most efficient use of maximum generation of electrical energy from solar, wind, biogas sources at reserved diesel station are given. Designs of generator modules based on a kinetic energy buffer storage device for preserving the quality of electricity from renewable energy sources with frequent changes in electrical loads of consumers are considered.

Community Engaged Learning Final Projects

LIFE*SPIN is a local organization in London, Ontario that provides resources to individuals and families dependent on low income to ultimately break the poverty cycle by encouraging sustainable living and self-sufficiency. For this Seminar in Biology course, Maria Bata and I partnered with LIFE*SPIN to plan and execute a "Seeding Planting Party" to teach children about basic botany, nutrition, and leadership. The following final paper for this seminar discusses the project deliverables and efforts, biological research concerning companion planting, and personal reflection on this experience.

Electronic Theses and Dissertations

The purpose of this paper is to describe teachers’ perceptions of experiential learning and its effects on student learning, understanding, and engagement through agriculture education's three-circle model. This paper explores teachers’ perceptions of the value and importance of experiential learning in agriculture education instruction, FFA, and supervised agricultural experience. Further, I explore experiential learning, constructivism, and hands-on learning as the foundational instructional practices used in agricultural education. Agricultural education teachers from southwest Minnesota were surveyed to determine how they are using experiential learning in their agriculture education programs, including classroom instruction, FFA, and supervised agricultural experiences.

The Double Your Dollar (DYD) Program is a program that gives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) beneficiaries and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) participants match dollars to spend at local farmers markets. The DYD’s goal is to incentivize healthy eating among individuals of low income and promote spending at farmers markets. Food insecurity affects over 60,000 individuals in Washington and Benton counties in Arkansas. The aim of this study was to assess how the DYD program impacted users’ food accessibility and how the program could be improved for the future. Globally, rice producers are faced with the temporal problem of deciding the optimal time to harvest rice. When harvested, paddy rice is typically at a harvest moisture content (HMC) between 15% and 22% and subsequently dried by the mill to a moisture content (MC) of 12.5%. Riceland Foods Inc., the largest miller of rice in the world, uses a stair-step pricing model to charge farmers to dry, which can complicate the timing of harvest as producers try to balance the tradeoff of minimizing drying costs by waiting to harvest at lower HMC vs. maintaining higher rice quality typically observed when …
