This study sought to examine the differences in coverage of earthquakes as a class of international news, by The New York Times and The TImes of India. The purpose was to determine if there was a correlation between the cultures of the United States and India, and their press treatment of the earthquakes at Los Angeles, U.S.A, (January, 1994), Maharashtra, India (September, 1993) and Erzincan, Turkey (March, 1992) by the two papers. Nexus is a magazine that began as an insert in the Wright State Guardian student newspaper in 1965 and has since been published semi-regularly. It began only accepting creative writing, but has since expanded to include illustrations, photography and other non-written art forms. Today, it is published in a digital format and accepts submissions from around the country, though it maintains its commitment to the Wright State Community.

Winona Campus Life

Winona Campus Life was a weekly laboratory newspaper produced by the WSU Mass Communciation Department students and printed as a supplement to the Sunday Winona Daily News, which began in September 1983. The newspaper provided coverage of the four institutions of higher education in Winona: Winona State University, St. Mary's University, College of Saint Teresa, and Winona Area Vocational-Technical School. It was created to provide a place for Mass Communcation students to publish their articles and photographs with the idea of generating reader feedback, which is essential in journalism education.
