This paper explores the representation of librarians within two popular types of online imagery: stock photographs and memes. While the representation of librarians in popular media has been explored before, these particular media have not and are distinct in that they are often created by amateurs with little professional editorial mediation. This study builds upon Seale’s librarian archetypes and Attebury’s revisions in order to compare these new medias to traditional depictions of the profession. Google Scholar (GS) is the only available global database for the citation analysis of Indian LIS journals. The present study is an attempt to highlight the citation output of research articles in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) published during the period 2006–2015. This study is based on Google Scholar data. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were applied in the study. 406 articles were published during 2006–2015, which were cited 4122 times in Google Scholar. The information literacy self-efficacy scale (7 factors) developed by Kurbanoglu, Akkoyunlu & Umay (2006) was used to collect data. Descriptive statistics and Pearson Correlation Coefficients were used for analysis. The paper deals with the practices and challenges of the certification program for professional librarians in Indonesia. The certification is regarded as the policy and strategy to enhance skills and competencies of professional librarians to transform libraries. The study provides descriptive analysis to explain the implementation of certification program in Indonesia from 2013-2017. The results of study show that the total of 3.039 librarians in Indonesia, 891 librarians (29%) has participated in the certification program.
