Application And Utilization Of Ict In The Degree College Libraries Of Assam, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta

The study has investigated the application and utilization of ICT in the degree college libraries of Assam. Two sets of structured questionnaires have prepared to collect the data from the respondents. The questionnaires were distributed to 192 colleges, out of which 126 colleges have responded. Again, user questionnaires were distributed to 784 users of different colleges, out of which 540 questionnaires have received. The findings of the study have revealed that the use of ICT in college libraries has improved the management of library activities. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether any association between some of the factors selected and information-seeking activities of school teachers in Sri Lanka. A survey method was adapted and a self-administered questionnaire was distributed among school teachers who work in government schools in the Kandy district, Central province of Sri Lanka. This study extended that work to examine relationships between teachers’ information seeking activities and some of their demographical, professional and environmental factors. This study was conducted to ascertain the trends of donations to private academic libraries in Ghana and how these donations have affected the collection development and service delivery of the library. The population of the study comprised of one (1) librarian and two (2) assistant librarians from the Central University library. A qualitative research design was employed to collect data for the study, and the data were thematically analyzed.

This paper deals with the analysis of the 1353 contributions of the journal entitled ‘Journal of Ornithology’ published during 2000-2015. It examines the year-wise distribution of publications, Relative Growth Rate and Doubling time, authorship pattern, degree of colloboration, document-wise publication, language-wise publication, most productive authors and country-wise contributions etc. The study shows that majority of the contributions were contributed by three authors and country-wise distribution shows that majority of the papers were contributed from Germany. From top 10 ranked lists of authors, Wink, M (Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology, Heidelberg University, Germany) has contributed highest number of papers.
