The present study examines the Bibliometric Analysis of Publication Trends in Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (SRMVCAS) during 2001-2020 using the Scopus database. Its goal is to look at how SRMVCAS’s research activity has grown and developed as evidenced by its publication output. A total of 740 records have been obtained and studied in accordance with the goals. The study explores the inaccuracies in the author names in journal references cited in five randomly selected theses in the subject of Library and Information Science (LIS) submitted to Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India during the period of 2012-2016, choosing one thesis per year. Five hundred and forty eight verifiable journal references appended in five LIS theses contained 924 cited authors. Findings show that 149 (16.13%) author names cited in 114 (20.8%) journal references were inaccurate. This study aimed to analyse the problems facing college libraries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. For conducting this research study, the researcher adopted a mixed-method research design. A literature-based questionnaire was administered amongst the 221 professional librarians serving in college libraries, in which 186 librarians responded to the questionnaire. The present study is a diagnosis of Information Literacy Competency (ILC) levels of social science researchers. The data was empirically collected from 520 researchers and analyzed using differential and inferential statistical techniques. The Information Literacy (IL) competent researchers were maximum 79.6% in ‘Information Use Ethics’, followed by 77.7% in ‘Information Need’, 76.2% in ‘Information Use’, 66.9% in ‘Information Evaluation’ and 53.8% in ‘Information Access’. The study has identified IL deficiencies on different parameters and suggests necessary improvements in the current practices for further enhancement of ILC among researchers.
