It’s remarkable to think that five years have passed since the world first went into lockdown. Five years since the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped our daily lives and presented us with challenges unlike any we’d faced before. Half a decade later, we’re left to reflect on how much has truly changed — and what remains the same.

This report provides an overview of the Libraries’ impact in teaching information literacy. Our Teaching and Learning Philosophy describes our student-focused approach and acknowledges “learning and teaching moments occur in a wide variety of contexts, including one-on-one reference consultations, while working on assignments, in the classroom, while considering personal and academic decisions.” Librarians partner with teaching faculty to design research assignments, collaborate on strategic scheduling of library instruction sessions, and cultivate collections to support student learning.

The 2024 Dow Championship is estimated to have generated or supported economic benefits for the Great Lakes Bay region in the following ways:

• A total economic impact of $16.8 million in economic activity, supporting 128 jobs, and contributing $8.9 million to the regional GDP.
• The increase in economic activity generated $150,000 in tax revenue for local municipalities, $225,000 for special districts, and $142,000 for the Great Lakes Bay counties.
• The event attracted 30,061 spectators and required the assistance of 4,389 staff members and 1,050 volunteers.

The Grand Rapids area nonprofit arts and culture sector (GRACS) is estimated to have generated or supported economic benefits for the city of Grand Rapids and Kent County in the following ways:

• The total economic impact of this industry is estimated at $298.7 million in economic output, supporting 2,529 jobs. Approximately $195 million in economic output is new to the area.
• The total annual fiscal impact (tax revenue) of all primary visitor spending and GRACS organizational spending is estimated at $821,000 for municipalities and $585,000 for Kent County.
• GRACS events attracted 2.67 million visitors, with 48% visiting from outside the …

Community college libraries are busy places, where no two days are the same. In the midst of the busyness of the day-to-day work, there is value in taking time to reflect. The act of writing this chapter is one way of taking time to reflect on the literature produced by community college library professionals over the last thirty years. Conversely, excessive engagement in online gaming may limit individuals’ participation in real-life experiences, thereby exerting negative effects on their well-being. Concerns regarding Internet gaming disorder (IGD) have also emerged as a study topic in Malaysia. Using the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) framework through a culturally sensitive perspective, this study investigated the several elements affecting the career aspirations of Indonesian college students. Acknowledging the notable disparity in applying SCCT in collectivist, non-Western settings like Indonesia where familial and cultural influences are prominent, the study used a qualitative design with a mixed-format questionnaire (rating scales followed by open-ended reasons) administered to 133 undergraduate students at Universitas Diponegoro. Complementing descriptive rating summaries, thematic study of the qualitative data revealed a complex interaction of elements. This study integrates Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Guilford’s Theory of Personality Traits, and Higgins’ Self-Discrepancy Theory to explore the influencing factors of selfie psychological demands among Chinese female fitness enthusiasts in post-pandemic era and their cross-cultural differences with Western counterparts. Countries receiving refugees can vary dramatically in their policies toward this group (e.g., recognition of refugee status, legal protections), but the role of the receiving country context for refugee adaptation process is under investigated. This cross-sectional study (N = 318) investigates refugees’ perceptions of the forcedness of their displacement and perils related to it, perceived discrimination, and subjective well-being in two different country contexts: Portugal and Malaysia. Results showed perceptions of discrimination and displacement-related perils were significantly higher among refugees in Malaysia, while subjective well-being and perceptions of forcedness were significantly higher for refugees in Portugal. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) remains one of the most empirically supported psychological treatments, yet its practical delivery often depends on materials that can feel cognitively overwhelming due to text-heavy design, poor adherence, and high cognitive load. These challenges impede learning and engagement for patients, as well as regulating session structure for novice practitioners. This study explores how graphic design principles can enhance CBT delivery through a visual prompt card deck that improves comprehension, usability, and collaboration for both practitioners and clients for a more intuitive therapeutic process. Spatial Implications Of Potential Treeline Campfire Restrictions In Selected Usfs-Managed Colorado Wildernesses, Rebecca Hippensteel

High-elevation ecosystems in Colorado’s Wilderness areas are ecologically sensitive and particularly vulnerable to campfire impacts, which can damage vegetation, alter soil chemistry, and degrade wilderness character. This study presents a preliminary proof of concept evaluating the spatial implications of banning campfires at or above 11,000 feet—used here as a proxy for treeline—in twelve U.S. Forest Service-managed Wilderness areas. Using 30-meter resolution Digital Elevation Models from the USGS National Map and Earth Explorer, a raster-based analysis in ArcGIS Pro identified and quantified acreage above 11,000 feet. Across the twelve Wilderness areas, 268,601 acres were found to lie above treeline, representing an …
