These children often experience deficits in both behavioral and cognitive executive functioning. An accumulation of stress and lack of coping resources can contribute to a higher incidence of mental and physical health disparities. Homeless adults are one of the most vulnerable subgroups who utilize Enterprise Resource Center, a peer-run day-center in Marin County. Because stress from multiple factors was identified in this transient and high-risk population, an intervention for stress reduction and management was explored. The findings from the needs assessment suggested that there was a need for an integrated approach for stress reduction and management. Genus Ficus belongs to family Moraceae having 40 genera and over 1000 species worldwide. Different methods have been used for phytochemical screening of medicinal plants like total phenolics content (TPC) and total flavonoids content (TFC) assays to quantify phenolics and flavonoids. The phytochemical analysis exhibited highest total phenolics content in M extract of stem and total flavonoids content in ethyl acetate (EA) extract of leaves i.e. 61.2±1.3 µg GAE/mg extract and 25.1±0.9 µg QE/mg extract respectively. Current study was intended to investigate the cytotoxic potential of Bombax ceiba L.by executing a wide range of in vitro assays. Brine shrimp lethality assay showed that stem wood’s chloroform (CH) extract was highly toxic (LC₅₀ 42.41 ± 3.40 µg/ml) followed by acetone : ethyl acetate (AC:EA) extract with LC₅₀ value of 72.92 ± 4.41 µg/ml. n-Hexane (NH) extract of root wood part caused 70.95 ± 1.77% inhibition of THP-1 cell line at 20 μg/ml concentration (IC₅₀ 15 ± 0.56 µg/ml). In this study, a synthetic polyester polymer was designed using polyethylene glycol, sorbitol, glutaric acid and 4-pentynoic acid as monomers. The synthesis was carried out using standard melt polymerization technique and catalyzed by Novozyme-435, an enzyme suitable for polyesterification of biocompatible compounds. The progress of the reaction was monitored with respect to time and vacuum exposure, with samples being subjected to standard characterization protocols.
