Children diagnosed with high grade gliomas (HGG) have dismal prognoses and treatment options remain limited. Tumor treating fields (TTFields) in combination with temozolomide (TMZ) is approved for the treatment of newly diagnosed and recurrent glioblastoma (GBM) in adult patients. However, clinical experience with TTFields in the pediatric HGG population is lacking. This retrospective review of four clinical cases was undertaken to evaluate the feasibility of treating children diagnosed with HGG off-label with TTFields. The Population Council has developed and introduced several of the world’s most effective and popular contraceptive methods, including the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG IUS). Through the International Contraceptive Access (ICA) Foundation, a public-private foundation based in Finland, the Council supports LNG IUS distribution to women in over 35 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in partnership with international and local organizations. Over 150,000 LNG IUS units have been delivered to date at no cost, laying the groundwork for method introduction in LMICs and further expanding access to safe, long-acting, reversible contraception.

A recent Project SOAR study evaluated community-based delivery of antiretroviral treatment to female sex workers (FSWs) in Tanzania, demonstrating the value of this approach to improve HIV care. Informed by these findings, the Government of Tanzania changed national guidance to allow for community-based HIV treatment to better meet the needs of marginalized populations, including FSWs.

Anemia in women of reproductive age is highly prevalent globally and remains a public health problem. In Ethiopia, despite efforts to minimize the burden of anemia, it is still a moderate public health problem. Anemia has various etiologies including nutritional deficiency, parasitic infection, and inflammation. The aim of this study was to examine contributing factors to anemia in lactating women. Following ethical approval, and six months after delivery, all lactating women (n = 150) were recruited to participate in this study from eight randomly selected rural villages. The current COVID-19 crisis has exposed new and existing issues related to access and equity for our students and families. The following article discusses a model for interconnecting educators, families, and community health workers (CHW) that can integrate diversity and equity for practitioners and educator preparation programs. Integrating CHWs provides a unique opportunity to utilize their cultural responsive skills and knowledge. Implications for practitioners and educator preparation programs are discussed.

• We compared physical fitness factors between sport and non-sport groups of elementary school children in all grades. The subjects of this study were 1,079 1st- to 6th-grade male elementary school children. Their parents completed a questionnaire examining whether the child attended sports lessons as a regular after-school activity. Physical fitness was evaluated by a new physical fitness test recommended by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (4). Worldwide statistics show 8-12% of married couples have infertility problems. Between 80-90% of these were reported due to the male, and 10% due to the female. Orthodox western treatments are expensive and have side effects, so we tried an Ayurvedic regime, with its lower costs and fewer side effects. Fifteen infertile couples were selected for the treatment; of the ten completed the treatment, whilst five dropped out. We recommended a low-stress lifestyle, avoiding acidic foods such as pineapple, tomato, fizzy drinks, and fast foods, and abstaining from alcohol and tobacco. Those who continued the course became pregnant within three months. …

We report the case of a 40-year-old male presented with a painless right testicular swelling. Right radical orchidectomy was performed. The pathological diagnosis was peripheral T-Cell lymphoma-not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS). According to Ann Arbor staging, the initial clinical stage was IEa. Treating him with four courses of the CHOEP protocol and intrathecal prophylactic chemotherapy was unsuccessful; with the appearance of orbital infiltration and a loco-regional extension. Although the patient started a second line chemotherapy, he unfortunately succumbed to death.

Purpose To evaluate the effect of dried amniotic membrane grafting on healing of radical cavity after canal wall-down procedure. Patients and methods A total of 24 cases were included. All had canal wall-down surgery done with the use of dried amniotic membrane at the end of procedure to line the radical cavity. According to the course of healing, cases were divided into four groups regarding wideness and dryness of cavity. Results were statistically analyzed.
