การศึกษาเปรียบเทียบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพ ของจุฬารูทคะแนลซีลเลอร์ และ โพรโคซอลซีลเลอร์, สมไชย ลิ้มสมบัติอนันต์, วัชรี พีระวณิชกุล

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อทดสอบหาคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพที่สําคัญบางประการ ของจุฬารูทคะแนลซีลเลอร์ และเปรียบเทียบคุณสมบัติดังกล่าวกับโพรโคชอลซีลเลอร์ วัสดุและวิธีการ จุฬารูทคะแนลซีลเลอร์ ได้ถูกนํามาทดสอบหาคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพพื้นฐานที่สําคัญบางประการ อันได้แก่ ความข้น เวลาก่อตัว ความทนต่อแรงอัด ความหนาของฟิล์ม และ การละลายตัว โดยยึดถือวิธีการ ทดสอบตามมาตรฐานสากล ISO 6876 และ Revised ANSI/ADA Specification No.30 ผลการศึกษา คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของจุฬารูทคะแนลซีลเลอร์ที่ได้จากการทดสอบ มีค่าเฉลี่ยดังนี้คือ ความข้น เท่ากับ 27.57 มม. เวลาก่อตัวเท่ากับ 49 ชั่วโมง 38 นาที ความทนต่อแรงอัด เท่ากับ 1.189 เมกกะปาสคาล ความหนาของฟิล์ม เท่ากับ 0.104 มม. และการละลายตัวในน้ํากลั่น เท่ากับ 7.57 % ในขณะที่โพรโคชอล ซีลเลอร์ มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 30.94 มม. 12 ชั่วโมง 33 นาที 5.998 เมกกะปาสคาล 0.148 มิลลิเมตร และ 2.53% ตามลําดับ ซึ่งค่าดังกล่าวในแต่ละคุณสมบัติของซีลเลอร์ทั้งสองชนิด มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) สรุป คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของจุฬารูทคะแนลซีลเลอร์ เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับโพรโคชอลซีลเลอร์ เป็นดังนี้คือ มี ความข้นมากกว่า เวลาก่อตัวนานกว่าประมาณสี่เท่า ความทนต่อแรงอัดน้อยกว่าประมาณห้าเท่า ความหนา ของฟิล์มน้อยกว่า และมีการละลายตัวในน้ํากลั่นมากกว่าประมาณสามเท่า

ผลของการขัดแต่งที่มีต่อกําลังดัดขวาง ของเฟลด์สปาติกพอร์ซเลน, วรางคณา บุตรดี, กาญจนา กาญจนทวีวัฒน์

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาถึงอิทธิพลของการขัดแต่งวิธีต่าง ๆ ต่อกําลังตัดขวางของเฟลด์สปาติกพอร์ซเลน วัสดุและวิธีการ เตรียมแห่งพอร์ซเลนขนาด 2.0x1.5x25 มม. ตาม ASTM C 1161-90 จํานวน 135 ชิ้น เผาที่อุณหภูมิ 920 องศาเซลเซียส ภายใต้สุญญากาศ จากนั้นนํามาแบ่งด้วยการสุ่ม เป็น 9 กลุ่ม กลุ่มละ 15 ชิ้น กลุ่มที่ 1 ไม่ได้ รับการขัดแต่ง เป็นกลุ่มควบคุม กลุ่มที่ 2 เคลือบผิว ที่อุณหภูมิ 910 องศาเซลเซียส ในอากาศ กลุ่มที่ 3-9 ได้รับ การปรับสภาพผิวให้ได้มาตรฐาน ก่อนรับการปรับผิววิธีอื่น โดยการขัดด้วยกระดาษซิลิกอนคาร์ไบด์ ในสภาวะที่เปียก กลุ่มที่ 4 กลุ่มเคลือบทับ ที่อุณหภูมิ 890 องศาเซลเซียส ในอากาศ กลุ่มที่ 5 กรอด้วยหัวกรอกากเพชร ขนาด 100 และ 40 ไมครอน ด้วยเครื่องกรอความเร็วสูง 120,000 รอบ/นาที โดยมีน้ําช่วยระบายความร้อน กลุ่มที่ 6-9 ขัด ด้วยเครื่องกรอความเร็วช้า 7,000 รอบ/นาที ในสภาวะแห้ง - กลุ่มที่ 6 ขัดด้วยหัวขัดยางซิลิโคนร่วมกับหัวขัดผ้า สักหลาดรูปแผ่นกลมฝังกากเพชรไว้ภายใน กลุ่มที่ 7 ขัดด้วยหัวขัดกระดาษทรายรูปแผ่นกลมร่วมกับหัวขัดผ้า สักหลาดรูปแผ่นกลมฝังกากเพชรไว้ภายใน กลุ่มที่ 8 ขัดด้วยหัวขัดยางซิลิโคนร่วมกับครีมกากเพชรขัดพอร์ซเลน และกลุ่มที่ 9 ขัดด้วยหัวขัดกระดาษทรายรูปแผ่นกลมร่วมกับครีมกากเพชรขัดพอร์ซเลน พอร์ซเลนในแต่ละกลุ่ม ไปวัดค่ากําลังตัดขวาง (MPa) ด้วยเครื่องทดสอบทั่วไปและเปรียบเทียบโดยใช้สถิติวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน แบบ ทิศทางเดียว (one way ANOVA ที่ p ≤ 0.05) และการทดสอบทูกี …

วัตถุประสงค์ในงานทันตกรรมประดิษฐ์ การเรียงฟันหน้าบนควรจะเรียงให้มีระนาบการสบฟันของฟันหน้าบน (เมื่อ มองด้านหน้าตรง) ขนานกับเส้นระหว่างรูม่านตาทั้งสองข้าง แต่ในความเป็นจริงระนาบการสบฟันของฟันหน้าบน อาจไม่ขนานกับแนวเส้นดังกล่าวก็เป็นได้ ดังนั้นในการศึกษาครั้งนี้จึงต้องการทราบความสัมพันธ์ของเส้นระหว่างรู ม่านตาทั้งสองข้างกับระนาบของการสบฟันหน้าในฟันธรรมชาติ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการเรียงฟันหน้าบนในผู้ป่วย ฟันปลอมทั้งปากให้เป็นธรรมชาติมากที่สุด วัสดุและวิธีการเก็บข้อมูลจากนิสิตคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ที่ไม่ได้จัดฟันโดยแบ่งเป็นชาย 16 คนเป็นหญิง 29 คน โดยใช้กล้องดิจิตอลถ่ายภาพเฉพาะใบหน้าด้านหน้าตรง ให้เห็นรูม่านตาทั้งสองข้างพร้อม กับระนาบฟันหน้าซึ่งได้มาจากการให้นิสิตกลุ่มตัวอย่างกัดไม้ส้ม จากนั้นจึงเก็บภาพถ่ายที่ได้ลงในคอมพิวเตอร์และ ทําการวัดมุมโดยใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ แล้วจึงนําผลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติ ผลการวิจัย พบว่ามุมที่เกิดจากการเบี่ยงเบนของเส้นที่ลากระหว่างรูม่านตาทั้งสองข้างจากระนาบแนวนอนและมุมที่เกิดจากการเบี่ยงเบนของระนาบการสบฟันจากระนาบแนวนอน ในกลุ่มนิสิตทันตแพทย์ไทยกลุ่มหนึ่งมีความ แตกต่างทางสถิติอย่างมีนัยสําคัญ (P<0.05) สรุป เส้นที่ลากระหว่างรูม่านตาทั้งสองข้างของกลุ่มตัวอย่างไม่ขนานกับระนาบการสบฟันของฟันหน้าบนเมื่อมอง ด้านหน้าตรง

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลของผู้ป่วยสูงอายุในโครงการการบริการทางทันตกรรมแก่ผู้สูงอายุโดยไม่คิดมูลค่าเนื่องในวโรกาสที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงเจริญพระชนม์พรรษาครบ 6 รอบ และนําไปเป็นข้อมูลเบื้องต้น ในการจัดเตรียมการให้บริการทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุของคณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย วัสดุและวิธีการ ท่าการเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสํารวจเวชระเบียนผู้ป่วยที่เข้าร่วมโครงการฯ จํานวน 647 ราย ซึ่งมีอายุ ตั้งแต่ 60-88 ปี เกี่ยวกับ ประวัติทางการแพทย์ อาการสําคัญ สิ่งที่ตรวจพบทางคลินิก และการไปรับการรักษา ตามภาควิชาต่าง ๆ แล้วนําาข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์ ผลการศึกษา จากผู้ป่วยที่สํารวจได้จํานวน 647 ราย (ขาย 300 ราย และหญิง 347 ราย) ผู้ป่วยช่วงอายุที่มารับ การรักษามากที่สุดคือ 60-64 ปี (ร้อยละ 41.0) ผู้ป่วยที่มารับการรักษาส่วนใหญ่ต้องการมาตรวจสุขภาพช่องปาก โดยไม่ระบุปัญหา (ร้อยละ 74.5) รองลงมาคือมีอาการเคี้ยวอาหารไม่สะดวกต้องการมาใส่ฟันปลอม (ร้อยละ 19.5) จากลักษณะที่ตรวจพบทางคลินิกพบว่าผู้ป่วยเป็นโรคปริทันต์มากที่สุด (ร้อยละ 43.7) รองลงมาคือฟันผุและสันเหงือก ว่าง (ร้อยละ 34.0 เท่ากัน) จากประวัติทางการแพทย์พบว่าสองในสามของผู้ป่วยเป็นโรคทางระบบ (ร้อยละ 68.9) ผู้ป่วยเป็นโรคความดันโลหิตสูงมากที่สุด (ร้อยละ 21.6) รองลงมาคือ เบาหวาน และ โรคหัวใจ (ร้อยละ 9.9 และ 9.7 ตามลําดับ) และพบว่าผู้ป่วยไปรับการรักษาจากภาควิชาทันตกรรมประดิษฐ์มากที่สุด (ร้อยละ 76.5) รองลงมาคือภาควิชาทันตกรรมหัตถการและปริทันตวิทยา (ร้อยละ 53.3 และ 50.7 ตามลําดับ) สรุปผู้ป่วยสูงอายุในโครงการนี้ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการการรักษาเกี่ยวกับการใส่ฟันปลอม รักษาฟันผุและรักษาโรคปริทันต์ ตามลําดับ การให้การรักษาแก่ผู้สูงอายุควรให้ความสําคัญในการสอบถามเกี่ยวกับโรคประจําตัวทางระบบและเพื่อระมัดระวังในการให้การรักษา

The role of membrane ICAM-1 in intercellular adhesion, through interaction with the leukocyte beta2 integrin receptors LFA-1 and Mac-1, is well established. However, until recently, ICAM-1 was widely regarded as being simply an "anchor" molecule, promoting, for example, firm adhesion of lymphocytes to vascular endothelial cells. The demonstration that ICAM-1 is connected to the actin-based cytoskeleton through interactions with subcortical actin-binding proteins, such as alpha-actinin, enhanced this concept. To demonstrate the kinds of data that can be obtained non-destructively and non-invasively from preserved museum specimens using modern imaging technology the head region of a whole body fetal specimen of the common dolphin, Delphinus delphis, aged 8–9 months post-conception, was scanned using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Series of scans were obtained in coronal, sagittal and horizontal planes. A digital three-dimensional reconstruction of the whole brain was prepared from the coronal series of scans. Sectional areas and three-dimensional volumes were obtained of the cerebral hemispheres and of the brainstemplus-cerebellum. To compare phosphorus intake and renal phosphorus regulation between thermally injured patients and multiple trauma patients, 40 consecutive critically ill patients, 20 with thermal injury and 20 with multiple trauma, who required enteral tube feeding were evaluated. Phosphorus intakes were recorded for 14 days from the initiation of tube feeding which was started 1 to 3 days post-injury. Serum for determination of phosphorus concentrations was collected at days 1, 3, 7, and 14 of the study period. Preimplantation or pre-attachment development encompasses the "free"-living period of mammalian embryogenesis, which directs development of the zygote through to the blastocyst stage. Blastocyst formation is essential for implantation, establishment of pregnancy and is a principal determinant of embryo quality prior to embryo transfer. The interrelationships of participation in counseling, level of hope, and care service utilization in a sample of individuals with HIV disease was the focus of this study. It was hypothesized that individual counseling would improve an HIV-positive person's level of hope, and would increase participation in additional care services. It was also hypothesized that individuals with more hope would seek a greater number of care services. The Health Status Questionnaire, which contains the Hope Scale, and the Social Support Questionnaire were used to collect data. การศึกษานี้วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้ให้บริการและผู้รับบริการคลินิกเวชปฏิบัติ ครอบครัว โรงพยาบาลศูนย์หาดใหญ่ โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ดังนี้ 1) ผู้ป่วยที่มารับบริการ จำนวน 200 คน 2) แพทย์ผู้ให้บริการประจำคลินิกเวชปฏิบัติครอบครัว 2 คน 3) พยาบาลและเจ้าหน้าที่ จำนวน 27 คน 4) แพทย์ทั้งในและนอกคลินิกเวชปฏิบัติครอบครัว 4 คน 5) หัวหน้ากลุ่มงานเวชกรรมสังคม และ 6) ผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลศูนย์หาดใหญ่ การเก็บรวมรวมข้อมูล โดยใช้แบบสอบถามและสัมภาษณ์ เจาะลึก ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) ผู้รับบริการส่วนใหญ่เป็นกลุ่มผู้ประกันสุขภาพ มีอาชีพค้าขายและรับจ้าง รายได้เฉลี่ย 6,600 บาทต่อเดือนต่อครอบครัว มีการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษาตอนต้น มาใช้บริการเฉลี่ย 6 ครั้งต่อปี ผู้รับบริการส่วนใหญ่พักอาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนใกล้เคียงที่ต้องใช้เวลาในการเดินทางมารับบริการเฉลี่ย ประมาณ 18 นาที รวมเวลาที่ใช้ในการมารับบริการที่คลินิกประมาณ 37 นาที และคิดว่าจะยังคงมาใช้บริการ \nที่คลินิกเวชปฏิบัติครอบครัวเพราะมีความพอใจในบริการที่ได้รับและไม่เสียเวลาในการรอรับบริการมากกว่า เหตุผลอื่น 2) โดยเฉลี่ยมีความพึงพอใจในระดับมาก ในเรื่องการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องรอตรวจ แพทย์ ห้องยา ห้องทำหัตถการ และบรรยากาศทั่วไป แต่ที่พอใจน้อยที่สุดคือ คุณภาพของยาที่ได้รับ 3) พยาบาลและ เจ้าหน้าที่ มีความพึงพอใจต่อการให้บริการและเห็นความสำคัญของการจัดให้มีคลินิกเวชปฏิบัติคู่การดูแล ทั้งชุมชนได้ดี 6) ผู้บริหารระดับกลางและสูงพอใจในระดับหนึ่ง การขยายงานต่อไป คือ การเป็นแม่ขาย ในการดำเนินงาน และเป็นแหล่งความรู้ของนักศึกษาแพทย์ พยาบาล และบุคลากรสาธารณสุข คลินิกเวชปฏิบัติครอบครัวจะยังคงดำเนินนโยบายและให้การสนับสนุนต่อไป และเน้นที่การเป็นแม่ข่าย ในการดำเนินงาน และเป็นแหล่งความรู้

Michigan Bovine Tuberculosis Bibliography and Database

Objective—To determine whether Mycobacterium bovis can be transmitted from experimentally infected deer to uninfected in-contact deer.

Animals—Twenty-three 6-month-old white-tailed deer.

Procedure—On day 0, M bovis (2 X 10⁸ colony-forming units) was administered by intratonsillar instillation to 8 deer; 3 control deer received saline (0.9% NaCl) solution. Eight in-contact deer were comingled with inoculated deer from day 21. On day 120, inoculated deer were euthanatized and necropsied. BACKGROUND: An increased rate of pseudarthrosis has been documented following posterolateral lumbar spine grafting in patients who smoke. This same relationship has been assumed for anterior cervical interbody grafting, but to our knowledge it has never been proven. This study compared the long-term radiographic and clinical results of smokers and nonsmokers who had undergone arthrodesis with autogenous bone graft following multi-level anterior cervical decompression for the treatment of cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy, or both.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of guilt, degree of spousal support, role conflict, and decreased psychological well-being experienced by educated stay at home mothers with young children. Social role theory is utilized as a basis for the development of a theoretical model. Relevant research literature does not identify a link between guilt, degree of spousal support, role conflict, and decreased psychological well-being in stay at home educated mothers. The direct binding of bacteria to platelets may be an important virulence mechanism in the pathogenesis of infective endocarditis. We have previously described Staphylococcus aureus strain PS12, a Tn551-derived mutant of strain ISP479, with reduced ability to bind human platelets in vitro. When tested in an animal model of endocarditis, the PS12 strain was less virulent than its parental strain, as measured by bacterial densities in endocardial vegetations and incidence of systemic embolization. We have now characterized the gene disrupted in PS12 and its function in platelet binding. DNA sequencing, Southern blotting, and PCR analysis indicate that PS12 contained two …
