This study compared clinical features and treatment outcomes between non-obese and obese children clinically diagnosed as appendicitis.Methods: Children (0 - 15 years) diagnosed as appendicitis between 2007 and 2013 were reviewed. Solid pseudopapillary neoplasms (SPNs) are very rare pancreatic tumors in children. We present clinical presentation, tumor characteristic, surgical management and outcome of SPNs at our institute. There were four patients (3 males, 1 female) undergoing pancreatectomy for SPNs with median age of 11.5 years (10 - 14 years). Presenting symptoms were abdominal pain (n = 4), palpable abdominal mass (n = 2) and vomiting (n = 2). A 65-year-old Thai woman with underlying essential thrombocythemia (ET) presented with acute psychosis.Hydroxyurea has been used in the patient with ET to reduce the frequency and severity of thromboticcomplications of the disease. Its side effect is anemia which is almost always reversible and will go away afterthe treatment is completed. In this case report, the psychotic symptoms happened with no other specific causes.This novel evidence suggests the possibility of the association between hydroxyurea and anemia.

The aging of the world population has tremendous implications for healthcare industry causing numerousproblems such as reducing work abilities, increasing health problems and occupational injuries. Some strategieshave been proposed to resolve these problems in the aging healthcare workers such as assessing workplaces,developing less physically and responsibly demanding jobs, designing more flexible work schedules, and reducingworking hours whilst retaining fringe benefits. Background: Ergonomic tools are used to conduct risk assessments in the workplace. The Rapid Entire BodyAssessment (REBA) is a favourite tool of ergonomists and practitioners, whereas the Quick Exposure Check(QEC) is more widely used. Background: Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a plant commonly found in Southeast Asia. Kratom is one ofthe most abused substances as “a legal psychoactive drug or substance”. The main addictive substance ofkratom is mitragynine.
