The Stability Of Diazepam In Authentic Blood Samples From Thai Postmortem Cases, Peerayuht Phuangphung

Background: Diazepam is a common drug detected in Thai postmortem cases. The stability of diazepam in blood was previously studied using spiked blood samples. However, there is no available data for stability in authentic postmortem blood samples.

Objectives: This study aims to determine the stability of diazepam in authentic postmortem blood samples.

Methods: Postmortem blood samples were obtained from the cadavers of Thai people who were sent for medico-legal autopsies at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Background: Sex determination is one of the most important aspects in forensic anthropology for the identification of unknown remains, especially dismemberment or mass disaster cases in which mutilated or fragmented remains are usually discovered; it is difficult to establish the identity of a long deceased body. Background : Body size perception is the basic of body image that usually be developed during early childhood. Overestimation of children and/or their parents may lead further negative body image, whereas underestimation may cause overlooked obesity problems.Objectives : To investigate the accuracy of body size perception among Thai school-aged children and the correlation between children’s and their parents’ estimation.Methods : In 2015, a cross-sectional study was conducted in a primary school in central Bangkok. Background : Most of colonic polyp and colorectal carcinoma are found in inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) supplied segments. Complication such as bleeding is crucial role for endovascular embolization and chemotherapy. Knowledge of vascular anatomy is important for successful interventional procedure.
