About 80% of the factors affecting health outcomes lay outside of the domain of traditional clinical care.1 Public Health 3.0, the next level of public health practice, expands the reach of public health practitioners to address upstream factors traditionally outside the scope of health initiatives, such as housing affordability and educational attainment.2 Public Health 3.0 calls upon local health departments (LHDs) to be the core of this effort by creating impactful change through intentional cross-sectoral collaborations.2 The Resilience Catalyst (RC) program, designed by the Center for Community Resilience at the George Washington University, is being used to guide Public Health …

Boot Camp Translation (BCT) is a method of partnering with community members to translate complex health information into locally relevant language and actionable messaging to improve health within their community. Our evaluation will seek to demonstrate the feasibility, reproducibility, worth, and significance of the BCT process. The BCT process being evaluated is based in Norway, Maine. This BCT is on the community selected health topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Purpose: Maternal micronutrient deficiencies occurring during periconceptional, pregnancy, and postpartum periods are a leading cause of adverse pregnancy outcomes globally. The Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) are a set of reference values used to assess and guide nutrient intakes of healthy individuals. However, the current DRIs for pregnancy and lactation may be limited in their methods and included populations. The present study analyzed the current DRIs for their inclusion of pregnant women and geographic representativeness. In December 2019 in Wuhan, China the first SARS-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 were reported (Rader et al., 2020) Since this time, COVID-19 has spread all across the globe while causing an increase of morbidity and mortality cases (Rader et al, 2020).
