พยาธิตัวกลมที่สำคัญในลำไส้ของลูกกระบือ, ไพบูลย์ ยุติศรี

จากการศึกษาพยาธิตัวกลมที่สำคัญในลําไส้ ที่ระบาดในลูกกระบืออายุต่าง ๆ กันใน ท้องที่จังหวัดภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทย พบว่าลูกกระบือที่มีอายุ ระหว่าง 20 ถึง 75 วัน เป็นพยาธิตัวกลม Neoascaris vitulorum ถึง 88 เปอร์เซ็นต์ (จากลูกกระบือทั้งหมด 25 ตัว) จำนวนไข่พยาธิที่พบตั้งแต่ 150 ถึง 52, 150 ใบ ในอุจจาระ หนัก 1 กรัม และพบพยาธิตัวกลม Strongyloides papillosus ในลูกกระบือที่มีอายุระหว่าง 8 ถึง 119 วัน ถึง 92 เปอร์เซ็นต์ (จากลูกกระบือทั้งหมด 25 ตัว) จำนวนไข่พยาธิมีตั้งแต่ 150 ถึง 39, 050 ใบ ในอุจจาระหนัก 1 กรัม

Testicular Degeneration Following Aflatoxin B1 Administration In Rats, Subhkij Angsubhakorn, Natth Bhamarapravati, Kanda Romruen, Virat Prangprakma, Somphong Sahaphong, Witaya Thamavit

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

Administration of the semisynthetic diet containing aflatoxin B1 at the level of 20 ppm for 4 wks induced testicular degeneration in the male Buffalo strain rats. Various degrees of seminiferous epithelial degeneration were observed and described by light microscopy. However, testes of rats that survived until the end of the experiment (32 wks) showed only slight thickening of the basement membrane and a decrease in diameter of the seminiferous tubules. This observations suggested that aflatoxin B1 had only a transient toxic effect on rat testes.

ผลของ แอล-ไธร๊อกซีน เปรียบเทียบกับโปรปิลไธโอยูราซีลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงคลื่นไฟฟ้าของหัวใจสุนัข, ประภา ลอยเพ็ชร, ณรงศักดิ์ ชัยบุตร

ในการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบผลของ L-Thyroxine และ Propyl thiouracil ซึ่งทําให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงในระดับของเซลล์ในเนื้อเยื่อต่าง ๆ ของร่างกายสัตว์ รวมทั้งกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจทําให้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงคลื่นไฟฟ้าของหัวใจด้วย สุนัขกลุ่มที่กิน L-Thyroxine 10 ตัว และสุนัขกลุ่มที่กิน PTU 6 ตัว มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงลักษณะ รูปร่างและขนาดของคลื่นไฟฟ้าหัวใจไป จากสุนัขกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวน 10 ตัว คือ P wave มีขนาดสูงและมียอดแหลม 9,S waves ลึก S-T segment ยกสูงขึ้น และกดต่ำลง การเปลี่ยนแปลงเหล่านี้เป็นผลจาก L-T ทําให้ขนาด หัวใจขยายใหญ่ขึ้นทั้งซีกขวาและซ้ายจึงไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงของค่า mean electrical axis ของหัวใจห้องล่าง ส่วนผลของ PTU เป็นเหตุให้เกิดอาการโลหิตจางซึ่งเป็นผลให้หัวใจขยายใหญ่ จึงทําให้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงลักษณะ และขนาดของคลื่นไฟฟ้าหัวใจได้เช่นกัน

Inactivated Equine Rhinopneumonitis Virus Vaccine And Use Thereof, John T. Bryans

An inactivated viral vaccine for protecting horses against disease caused by equine rhinopneumonitis virus is prepared by propagating an equine rhinopneumonitis virus in a susceptible, cloned, diploid equine cell line, harvesting the resulting virus in a serum-free medium, inactivating the virus and neutralizing the inactivating agent, concentrating the virus, and adding an immunological adjuvant thereto. A vaccination program to protect horses against the equine rhinopneumonitis virus is also disclosed.

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

The effect of regular anthelmintic treatment on the live weight gains, reproductive rates and mortality rate of sheep raised in the highlands of northern Thailand were studied. A significant difference in liveweight gain was only recorded during the wet season in the German Merino Thai Indigenous breed of sheep in favour of the group receiving anthelmintic treatment. Reproductive rates were 58% for the treated group compared with 33 % for the control group and mortality rates were 0% compared with 25 %. Retail value of wholesale meat cuts is influenced by quality and the proportion of lean, fat and bone. Wholesale cuts vary widely in value; for example, loins and ribs sell for more than rounds, rounds more than chucks, and chucks more than flanks, plates, or briskets. Subacute Exposure And The Post-Exposure Effects Of Aflatoxin B1 To Buffalo Strain Rats., Subhkij Angsubhakorn, Lakana Phiernpichit, Somphong Sahaphong

Weanling Buffalo strain rats on a severe exposure to aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in a dose of 20 ppm in the semisynthetic diet for 4 weeks revealed a marked degree of degeneration or/and hemorrhagic necrosis of liver, renal tubules, alveolar epithelium, heart muscles, gastrointestinal epithelium and testicles. It seemed that female rats of our experiment were equal or slightly more susceptible than the male rats. Hemosiderin-like granules were presented in Kupffer's cells, reticuloendothelial cells of spleen and peritubular area of kidney. These granules might probably represent insoluble aflatoxin complex deposition. However, at the end of week 32 after the severe exposure …
