Exact Test For Investigation Of Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium, Bahar Çitak, Tahsi̇n Kesi̇ci̇
Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences
The use of exact and \chi^2 goodness-of-fit tests to control the hypothesis that a sample represents the population in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium are explained and compared with each other. These tests were applied for the loci with two, three and four alleles. The reliability of these tests depends on the sample size. The results showed that the exact and \chi^2 goodness-of-fit tests provided almost the same results if the sample size is considerably large. The exact test is, however, more reliable than the \chi^2 goodness-of-fit test when the sample size is small.

In mushroom feeding studies, 2% sucrose medium was found to be the most suitable solution for mushroom mycelium growth. Among the 6 different media each containing 2% sucrose, the effect of different rates of micro and macro elements were studied and mycelium growth was investigated. The best liquid medium in relation to the highest dry weight of mycelium was the medium labelled No. 1 which consisted of 10^-3 mol/l of macro and 10^-6 mol/l of micro nutrient …
