In order to improve the light tar and gas yield, the yield distribution and composition characteristics of pyrolysis products of bituminous coal from Shaanxi Hongliulin in the nitrogen atmosphere and weak oxygen atmosphere were studied in a fixed bed reactor. The results showed that the yield of char and tar were reduced under the weak oxygen atmosphere, and the yield of CO and CO2 increased significantly, leading to the increase of total gas yield. The filling expansion mechanism and control measures of high concentration slurry in goaf is one of the difficult problems to be solved in the filling treatment of cavity goaf. Based on this, combined with the high concentration slurry transportation and rheological theory, a high concentration slurry filling process model was constructed to reveal its expansion mechanism, the dynamic and resistance calculation methods of filling expansion process were studied, the main influencing factors and control methods of filling accumulation body morphology were determined, and the theoretical results were verified by outdoor filling test.The results show that the the relative error between …

The high concentration slurry is poured into the goaf to form filled piers. The bearing capacity of the piers to the superstructure are affected by the overlap size. In order to grasp the influence of the overlap size on the bearing capacity of the overlying rock layer, high concentration slurry was prepared which selected cement as the cementing material, standard sand as the aggregate. 3D printing technology was used to make the mold to produce the overlapped round table samples. Correctly understanding the micro-scale fracture characteristics of the Lower Cambrian shale and the evolution law of acoustic emission signals are of great reference value in the study of shale mechanical characteristics, fracture mechanism and shale gas development and utilization. In this paper, based on digital image processing technology, the non-uniform characterization of quartz-filled shale is carried out, and a numerical model is established using the real rock fracture analysis system RFPA2D-DIP to simulate the failure process of shale under different confining pressures. Aiming at the scientific evaluation of coaxial casing heat transfer of geothermal resources with medium burial depth(1 500-4 000 m), a rock-water coupled heat transfer model of a vertical single well was built based on the simulation platform of COMSOL Multiphysics software. Adding heat-conducting filler to the cement of the geothermal well could significantly improve the thermal conductivity of the cement stone and enhance the heat extraction effect of the geothermal well. In this study, on the basis of summarizing the heat conduction path theory and concept of high packing density, the effects of different filler types, particle sizes and dosages on the thermal conductivity of cementing cement were investigated through experiments. The development degree of natural fractures is the main factor affecting coalbed methane productivity. In order to accurately obtain the distribution position of the natural fractures in the a coalbed methane field in the southern Qinshui basin, 7 refracturing wells in the area were adopted by surface microseismic vector scanning to monitor the natural fractures. Wide-band, high-power and short-residual acoustic wave sources are the key technology for high-resolution detection of large-scale complex structures, in order to solve the contradiction between detection distance and resolution, a new acoustic wave detection instrument is developed by using the acoustic transmitter made of giant magnetostrictive material(GMM) as the source. In this study, wireless communication technologies used in road and marine traffic are compared and analyzed to develop a collision warning system for small maritime autonomous surface ships based on sufficient testing and technologically advanced wireless access in vehicular environment (WAVE) communication technology. Understanding navigator errors can be used as a basis for preventing collisions. Here, Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) are applied to navigator errors of fishing and merchant ships in collisions. Information on navigator errors providedin accident investigation reports issued by the Korean Maritime Safety Tribunal is surveyed. The surveyed information is converted into data using the framework of slips, lapses, and mistakes proposed in this study. The results of framework data states are inferred using the unsupervised learning of HMMs, with sequences of navigator errors contained in the error data. In this study, we monitored temporal and spatial variability in summer cold water events in the East Sea of Korea. We defined cold water as seawater that is ≥ 5°C colder than the surrounding area. When cold water expands or changes in propagation direction, the National Institute of Fisheries Science (NIFS) of Korea issues a cold water upwelling warning to prevent aquafarm damage. This study developed a mathematical model following the fundamental principles of mass transfer for the simulation of the oil and moisture content change during the Deep-Fat Frying of plantain (ipekere) chip. The explicit Finite Difference Technique (FDT) was used to conduct a numerical solution to the consequential governing equation (partial differential equation) that was used to describe the mass transfer rate during the process. Availability of water for irrigated crops is driven by climate and policy, as moderated by public priorities and opinions. We explore how climate and water policy interact to influence water availability for cannabis (Cannabis sativa), a newly regulated crop in California, as well as how public discourse frames these interactions. Grower access to surface water covaries with precipitation frequency and oscillates consistently in an energetic 11–17 year wet-dry cycle. Assessing contemporary cannabis water policies against historic streamflow data showed that legal surface water access was most reliable for cannabis growers with small water rights ( < 600 m3) and …

This paper will describe the design and control techniques of the open-circuit subsonic wind tunnel with closed testing section (WT) for study purpose. The goal is to design a WT that can be tested at a wind speed of 30 m/s, where the desired cross-sectional area of the test chamber is 0.5x0.5 m. The pressure drop inside the WT has been calculated in order to select one of the available axial fans from the manufacturer’s catalog, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was performed to check the result. Combined sewer systems and urbanization are significant concerns confronted by many aging cities, including the City of Syracuse, New York. This study addresses the role of impervious surfaces in the direct discharge of surface runoff, domestic and industrial wastewaters into Onondaga Lake and tributaries during wet weather events. Onondaga County addressed the combined surface overflow (CSO) problem in 2009 through a stormwater management program known as "Save the Rain” (STR)." This strategy involved adopting a combination of constructed (gray) and plant-soil-atmosphere based (green) infrastructure (GI) practices to address the CSO issue.
