College choice is a critical decision facing many high school students. Although some research has examined where students go for help in making college choices, few studies have examined how race or gender differences of the students or differences in their standardized test scores affect their information sources. Entering college freshmen (N=3,708) indicated which ~f nine information sources (college students, friends, high school counselor, college publication, family, alumni, high school teacher, newspaper, tel~vision) they used in selecting a college.
Responses were analyzed separately for females and males, blacks and whites, in each of four American College Testing (ACT) score categories. …

A Study Of Gordon Klopf: Bank Street Distinguished Specialist In Leadership Development, Fredda Pravitz
Graduate Student Independent Studies
A study is made of Gordon J. Klopf, the educator, focusing on the years that he has been at Bank Street. His approach, method and style of working with adult learners are examined, from the time he left Teacher's College in the 1960's to come to work at Bank Street. The role that he played in developing various programs is discussed as well as the effect that his teaching has had on the personal and professional development of educational staff at all levels. A professional biographical statement is included as an appendix.

Statement of the Purpose
The purpose of this study was to identify factors which are most likely to affect job satisfaction of academic faculty and administrators in higher education. Specific recommendations were proposed for college and university administrators' application to maximize academic faculty and administrator job satisfaction. These recommendations were to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity of higher education.
Procedure
The identification of satisfaction-producing factors affecting academic faculty and administrators was accomplished by the related research and literature in the private (business and industry) and the public (higher education) sectors in relation to the motivation-hygiene theory of Herzberg.
