This action research study evaluated the implementation of a gamification strategy to improve academic self-efficacy and motivation in social studies students at Azul Mountain High School (a pseudonym). Keeping students engaged in school is a top priority for educators at all levels. However, students’ lack of engagement at the high-school level has become more detrimental. Improving self-efficacy has been linked to increased motivation, academic achievement, and improved learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was to evaluate how teachers use Eureka Math2 (EM2) curriculum and technology tools to promote high-quality mathematics classroom discussions. Research has indicated these discussions improve students’ mathematical knowledge, reasoning, and conceptual understanding. As technology continues to play an increasingly prominent role in the educational landscape, understanding the differing viewpoints of students and educators is crucial for designing impactful technology integration strategies. Through a comprehensive literature review, this article examines the factors contributing to the disconnect and its implications for teaching and learning in higher education. The traditional cultures around the world not only symbolize the spirit and soul of different countries, but also provide the most essential resources for education. This study examined the effect of reverse engineering pedagogy (REP) and forward project pedagogy (FPP) on students’ cultural heritage literacy and creativity in a cultural-oriented STEAM course (C-STEAM). A total of 128 undergraduate students from a major university in China participated in a paper sculpture C-STEAM project, and were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group (with 64 students) which adopted REP, and the control group (with 64 students) which adopted FPP. What Do Pre-Service Teachers Know About Teaching With Technology?, Lauren Hays, Jenna Kammer, Kristina Schuler
Journal of Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership in Education
This paper presents the results of a study which examined how 132 pre-service teacher work samples documented implementation of teaching with technology during student teaching experiences. Researchers determined which ISTE Standards for Students and ISTE Standards for Educators the pre-service teachers were using based on their reported technology use from the work samples. Themes of how the technology was used are also reported to gain a deeper understanding of pre-service teachers’ use of educational technology. Findings indicate that students are taught to use technology for learning, but often used it for engagement.

The use of mobile phones as an instructional tool by teachers is not yet widespread, and there is a need to enhance the literature on how this experience affects their metacognition. While existing literature focuses on students' experiences, little is known about the experiences of teachers. This qualitative study utilized an interpretative phenomenological analysis approach to examine the experiences of primary and secondary school teachers in Karachi, Pakistan, who used mobile devices for teaching online during the COVID-19 pandemic for at least 12 weeks. This study examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) curricula globally and proposes a framework for educational redesign. Through a mixed-methods approach, including literature review, interviews, and analysis of 100 ICT programs across six continents, we identify significant regional disparities in AI education and key challenges in curriculum adaptation. Only 37% of analysed programs offer comprehensive AI courses, with institutions in Africa and South America notably lagging. We propose a flexible framework for AI integration, encompassing core foundations, specialization tracks, cross-cutting integration, practical projects, and continuous adaptation mechanisms. The majority of CACREP accredited online counselor education programs are limited residency distance learning programs. Including a residency experience in online programs can help foster community, increase student engagement, and teach important skills needed to be an effective counselor, including counseling and advocacy skills. In this article, the authors describe one program’s approach to developing a two-day virtual residency program in combination with a concurrent course utilizing the Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competency framework. Roleplays, guest presenters, and counseling skills instruction and practice were utilized in the residency program. Student feedback, implications, limitations, and future directions are also discussed.

Objectives: The paper presents a novel experiment in Palestinian higher education that uses augmented reality technology. The study employs qualitative methods. Methods: The experiment was carried out on 15 students enrolled in microwave engineering course at An-Najah National University's telecommunication engineering department. With the research sample, semi-structured interviews and surveys were conducted, and the obtained data was analysed using theme coding. Findings: The qualitative analysis and thematic coding produce seven major topics, including benefits, future hope, challenges, reflections, initial impression, attitudes, and prior experience. This study investigates the efficacy of emotional design in Anatomy and Medical education, a subject hitherto unexamined in emotional design studies. Further, unlike previous studies, this study utilised a natural learning environment rather than computer-based lessons. We investigated how the emotional design of lecture slides impacts mood, cognitive load and memory retention in first-year anatomy students studying medicine and dentistry in Universiti Malaya across three separate lectures. The Good Behavior Game (GBG) is an interdependent group-oriented contingency management system successfully used in school settings to promote positive student behaviors. As a classroom management intervention, there is a large body of evidence for it increasing desirable classroom behaviors and decreasing problem behaviors across a range of student populations. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technologies are revolutionizing educational experiences, but their widespread adoption hinges on addressing critical security and usability challenges, particularly in the domain of user authentication. This research presents an investigation into the security landscape of AR/VR and explores a graphical authentication scheme called “Things” that enhances both security and usability in immersive learning environments. Stakeholder engagement strategies have the potential for adverse education business outcomes. Education business leaders are concerned about the impact of ineffective stakeholder engagement strategies on digital transformation initiatives. Grounded in stakeholder theory, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to identify and explore effective stakeholder engagement strategies that business leaders use to enhance the success of digital transformation in education. The participants were six digital transformation leaders in the western United States. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and a review of public organizational documents and online archives. The purpose of this descriptive research study was to evaluate the web-based practice experience tracking system at a school of public health (SPH) at a large southeastern university. Applied practice experiences (APEs) are a key component of public health education, and schools and programs of public health in the United States must provide documentation of APEs and practice-related activities to meet accreditation standards. A descriptive research evaluation examined how users perceive and use the existing web-based system designed to document APEs in the SPH. The purpose of this action research study was to implement and evaluate the impact of a modified flipped classroom approach on students’ ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro in a Multimedia course at Jefferson High School. The current pedagogical model for teaching the video editing software is not conducive to student achievement and students need additional instruction after in-class demonstrations. A major issue in teaching software programs using in-class demonstrations is that when students do not understand the applications of the program, the teacher has to stop demonstrations and walk around the classroom to help struggling students while other students …

There is a strong need for fifth-grade students to become proficient in mathematical problem-solving using fractional computations because it will have a lasting impact on student achievement. Traditionally, mathematics is taught inside a brick-and-mortar classroom, grounded in rote memorization of facts, rules, and formulas. In recent years, more elementary students have enrolled fully in online learning environments, which emphasize on students becoming problem-solvers, specifically in fractional computation.
