A Study Of Gender And Subject Area On Student Test Score Prediction, Slade Spencer

The goal of student self assessment in this study was to give the instructor feedback – first hand knowledge of the level of understanding/comprehension the students have of the concepts in a given subject area. The purpose for test score predictions was to enable the classroom teacher to teach the areas of subject matter that were needed, not teach what has already been mastered as a skill.

Previous research has shown mixed results in the area of whether gender or subject area affects test score prediction. This provided support for the dual null hypotheses. There is not a significant relationship …

Women And The Superintendency: Personal And Professional Demographics And The Perceptions Of Barriers And Strategies Held By Women Superintendents, Deanna Mary Anderson

The major purposes of this study were to identify the personal and professional characteristics of women superintendents and to identify women superintendents' perception of barriers and successful strategies.

The survey instrument, Questionnaire on Perceptions of Barriers and Strategies Impacting on Women Securing the Superintendency, was sent to 360 women superintendents with a response rate of 60%. Frequency distributions showed that the average respondent was married between the ages of 50 and 59, was white, holds a doctoral degree, works in district with 1,000 to 2,999 students and has been in her current position for 1 to 4 years.

การพัฒนาคนในยุคสังคมสารสนเทศก็คือ การทำให้คนอยู่กับข่าวสารข้อมูล และเทคโนโลยีคอมพิวเตอร์ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับคอมพิวเตอร์จึงเป็นสิ่งที่เราหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ ด้วยเหตุนี้การพัฒนาการสอนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์จึงจำเป็น และต้องลงมือทำกันอย่างจริงจัง แต่แนวทางการพัฒนาเพื่อบ่งชี้ว่าผู้รับผิดชอบต้องทำ อะไร และอย่างไร ต้องสอดคล้องกับความคิดเห็นของผู้เกี่ยวข้องโดยตรงกับการสอน วิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ การวิจัยครั้งนี้ได้แนวทางการพัฒนาที่เป็นการบูรณาการเทคโนโลยี คอมพิวเตอร์กับจิตวิญญานของครู ผู้บริหาร นักเรียน รวมทั้งนักวิชาการ ที่ได้สะท้อน ความคิดเห็น ความต้องการ หรือแม้แต่ความตระหนักของตนเองเพื่อการสอนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของครูหัวหน้าหมวด คอมพิวเตอร์ ครูคอมพิวเตอร์ นักเรียนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ และผู้บริหารเกี่ยวกับ คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของครูคอมพิวเตอร์ พฤติกรรมการสอนของครูคอมพิวเตอร์ หนังสือเรียนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อสังเกตพฤติกรรมการสอนของครูคอมพิวเตอร์ สำรวจสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพของห้องเรียนคอมพิวเตอร์ และเพื่อนำเสนอ แนวทางการพัฒนาการสอนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการ สอนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ การรวบรวมข้อมูลใช้แบบสอบถาม แบบสังเกต และแบบสำรวจ ข้อมูลที่ได้นำมาวิเคราะห์ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน มัธยฐาน และพิสัยระหว่างควอไทล์ ผลการวิจัยทําให้ได้แนวทางในการพัฒนาระดับนโยบาย สําหรับหน่วยงานที่มีหน้าที่กําหนดนโยบายการจัดการการเรียนการสอนวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์ แนวทางการพัฒนาสําหรับโรงเรียนหรือหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง สําหรับครูคอมพิวเตอร์ สําหรับกลุ่มครู และกลุ่มโรงเรียนในการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ พฤติกรรม การสอน ห้องเรียนคอมพิวเตอร์ และหนังสือวิชาคอมพิวเตอร์

รูปแบบการศึกษาไทยที่สมดุลกับบริบทและสังคมไทย การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาพอนาคตของประเทศไทยและโลก ในศตวรรษที่ ๒๑ เพื่อนําเสนอรูปแบบการศึกษาไทยที่สมดุลกับบริบทของสังคมไทย ในศตวรรษที่ ๒๑ โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยตามกระบวนการอนาคตปริทัศน์ ศึกษาจากเอกสาร ตำรา ผลงานวิจัย บทความ และรายงานการประชุมสัมมนา จำนวนประมาณ ๒๐๐ รายการ และเก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน ๓๐ คน เพื่อเป็นฐานในการนำเสนอ รูปแบบการศึกษาไทยฯ ผลจาการอ่านพิเคราะห์เอกสาร ได้บริบทของประเทศไทยและโลก และได้ นําเสนอภาพอนาคตของโลกในศตวรรษที่ ๒๑ ในรูปแบบของแผนภูมิสําหรับบริบท ของรูปแบบการศึกษาฯ เสนอในรูปของเคนโดแกรม ๕ ประเภท คือ (๑) บริบทของ ประเทศไทยสู่อนาคต (๒) บริบทของประเทศไทย : เศรษฐกิจ (๓) บริบทของประเทศไทย : สังคม-วัฒนธรรม (๔) บริบทของประเทศไทย : การเมือง และ (๕) บริบทของ ประเทศไทย : การศึกษา อันนำผู้วิจัยไปสู่การเสนอรูปแบบการศึกษาฯ ในรูปของ แผนภูมิและการเปรียบเทียบภาพที่มีการปฏิรูปและขาดการปฏิรูปตามรูปแบบฯ ตามองค์ประกอบ ดังนี้ (๑) ภาพรวม (๒) ศีลธรรม จรรยาและค่านิยม (๓) หลักสูตร (๔) การเงินการสอน (๕) ศาสตร์ (๖) การประเมินผล (๗) ทิศทางและทรัพยากร และ (๔) การบริหาร ข้อค้นพบที่สำคัญ เสนอในรูปของแผนภูมิระลอกแห่งการศึกษา อันเป็นผล จากการปฏิรูปสาระเพื่ออนาคตในศตวรรษที่ ๒๑ ตามรูปแบบฯ ซึ่งเน้นผลกระทบต่อสาระ การศึกษา 4 ระดับ ดังนี้ คือ (๑) เอกัตบุคคล (๒) ระหว่างบุคคล (๓) องค์กร (๔) ชุมชน (๕) วัฒนธรรม (๖) ชาติ …

การวิเคราะห์คุณลักษณะไทย คุณค่า และกระบวนการ ถ่ายทอดศิลปะการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวแบบไทย : กระบี่กระบอง, สุจิตรา สุคนธทรัพย์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (๑) ศึกษาคุณลักษณะไทย คุณค่า และกระบวนการ ถ่ายทอดศิลปะการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวแบบไทย (๒) วิเคราะห์เชิงคุณภาพในด้านคุณลักษณะไทย คุณค่า และกระบวนการถ่ายทอดศิลปะการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวกระบี่กระบอง (๓) นำเสนอ กระบวนการถ่ายทอดคุณลักษณะไทย คุณค่า ในศิลปะการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวกระบี่กระบอง โปรแกรมการวิจัยประกอบด้วย การศึกษาเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ การศึกษาภาคสนามด้วยการ สังเกต การสัมภาษณ์ และการสนทนากลุ่ม จำนวน 5 สนาม และการประชุมกลุ่มผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พัฒนาการของการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวแบบไทย มี ๓ ระยะ คือ ยุคการรบ และการทหารแบบโบราณ ยุคเริ่มการรบและการทหารสมัยใหม่ และยุคการรบและการทหาร สมัยใหม่ คุณลักษณะไทยที่ปรากฏประกอบด้วย องค์รวมของความกตัญญูกตเวที ความวิริยะ ความมีขันติ ความสามัคคี และพรหมวิหารสี่ คุณค่าประกอบด้วย คุณค่าในวิชาคือ ใช้ในการ ป้องกันตัว คุณค่าในผู้เรียนคือ รักชาติ ภูมิใจในความเป็นไทย สุขภาพกายแข็งแรง และ คุณค่าในสังคมคือ การมีวินัย การเสียสละเพื่อส่วนรวม กระบวนการถ่ายทอดที่สําคัญ ประกอบด้วย การจัดประสบการณ์ตรงให้แก่ผู้เรียนโดยครูต้นแบบที่มีคุณภาพ สอนทั้งทักษะ และการอบรมบ่มนิสัย สำหรับการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพเฉพาะกระบี่กระบองพบว่า คุณลักษณะ ไทยที่ปรากฏมีลักษณะเช่นเดียวกับคุณลักษณะไทยในอดีต แต่มีลักษณะแยกส่วน คุณค่า ที่พบประกอบด้วยคุณค่าในวิชา เป็นการแสดงที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของไทย คุณค่าในผู้เรียนคือ มีสติ ไหวพริบ สุขภาพกายแข็งแรง และคุณค่าในสังคมคือ การมีวินัย แต่คุณค่าดังกล่าวมี ลักษณะไม่สมบูรณ์ กระบวนการถ่ายทอดประกอบด้วย การจัดประสบการณ์ตรงให้แก่ผู้เรียน ครูต้นแบบมีความชำนาญในกระบี่กระบองพอสมควร สอนเน้นเฉพาะทักษะ ดังนั้นในอนาคต กระบวนการถ่ายทอดศิลปะการต่อสู้ป้องกันตัวกระบี่กระบองควรจัดประสบการณ์ตรงที่มีความหมายให้กับผู้เรียน โดยครูต้นแบบที่มีคุณภาพสอนทั้งทักษะและอบรมบ่มนิสัยยึดหลัก ไตรสิกขา คุณลักษณะไทยที่ปรากฏควรเป็นลักษณะองค์รวมเช่นในอดีตที่เรียกว่า “สุนทรีย ธรรม” และจัดให้มีคุณค่าสมบูรณ์ทั้งคุณค่าในวิชาคือ ใช้ในการป้องกันตัว คุณค่าในผู้เรียน คือ รักความเป็นไทย รักชาติ สุขภาพแข็งแรง และคุณค่าในสังคมคือการมีวินัย การเสียสละ เพื่อส่วนรวม

Equal Educational Opportunity And Constitutional Theory: Preliminary Thoughts On The Role Of School Choice And The Autonomy Principle, Michael Heise

Inadequate schools impede America's long-standing quest for greater equal educational opportunity. The equal educational opportunity doctrine, traditionally moored in terms of race, has expanded to include notions of educational adequacy. Educational adequacy is frequently construed in terms of educational spending and framed in terms largely incident to constitutional litigation.

This paper explores the potential intersections of the school choice and school finance movements, particularly as they relate to litigation and policy. The paper argues that school choice policies constitute a viable remedy for successful school finance litigation and form a remedy that simultaneously advances individual autonomy, one critical constitutional principle.
