A New Master’S Degree In Financial Economics, Usu Jon M. Huntsman School Of Business

A new Master of Science degree in financial economics was launched in the fall of 2012. Tyler Bowles, head of the Economics and Finance Department, said this degree will prepare students for demanding careers in the financial services industry with the requisite quantitative analytical expertise to succeed in that challenging and challenged industry.

Huntsman School of Business, left for his native Hungary as part of the Fulbright Program, an international educational exchange sponsored by the U.S. government. Executive Summary:

The Bluegrass Economic Advancement Movement region encompasses the Louisville and Lexington MSAs and the corridor between them. It is an area with much of the manufacturing, medical and transportation & warehousing industries of Kentucky contained within. Over 36% of the population and 38% of the Kentucky labor force live and work in this region. This report analyzes the labor market structure within the region. We also examine the labor market structure in five Workforce Investment Act Regions: Bluegrass, Lake Cumberland, Lincoln Trail, Kentuckiana Works, and Indiana Region 10. The Alabama Crimson Tide football team is now officially the BCS National Field Goal Champion. This was achieved despite the fact that the Tide did score a touchdown in the waning moments of the game and then watched their kicker miss the extra point. The Alabama coach, Nick Saban, must have been quite proud of this achievement, as it obliterated the loss to LSU in the Field Goal contest of November to determine which team was number one in the nation at that point in the season.

Substantial resources invested in medical research have generated revolutionary discoveries in medical science. However, it takes 17 years to translate 14% of research findings into clinical practice. The gap between science and practice is labeled as “the Valley of Death” and has been framed as a “lost in translation” problem, therefore the effort has been focusing on the promotion of translational research and translators—physician scientists who understand both science and practice languages. Despite many educational and funding programs, physician’s research interest has declined and the gap has not been narrowed. Purpose ‐ A good corporate image is important to organizations. However, little is elaborated on how organizations can work on their images. This study seeks to explicate the types of image management before, during, and after a crisis through the development of the crisis pre-emptive image management model.
