Employee turnover reduces organizational performance through the increased financial and human resources required to hire and train new employees. Because correctional officers are essential to reducing the inmate recidivism rate, understanding the correlates of correctional officers’ intent to leave is essential to reduce turnover. Grounded in Herzberg’s two-factor motivation-hygiene theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the likelihood of employee job satisfaction and leadership behavior perception predicting correctional officer turnover intentions. To improve student achievement in urban public schools with high poverty, it is important to address specific leadership styles (i.e., transformational, transactional, and passive-avoidant leadership styles) in relationship to their school climate. Information technology (IT) managers have sparse information on the critical success factors (CSFs) needed for self-service business intelligence (SSBI) initiatives among casual users. The purpose of this qualitative, multicase study was to describe Business Intelligence (BI) experts’ views on the CSFs needed for self-service BI initiatives among casual users in the post-implementation stage. This paper explores measures of debt, liquidity, operations, and funding as it related to the organizational risk of a non-profit higher education institute. Using cluster analysis, 1,056 schools were grouped across five to eight clusters. The majority of these types of higher education institutes demonstrate a competence of managing their organizational risk over a 30-year horizon.

The first chapter of this dissertation examines price discovery and volatility spillovers in the coffee spot-futures commodity market over the post-ICA period by employing the PT-IS and bivariate EGARCH models. This research covers two actively traded coffee types, Arabica and Robusta, and utilizes daily time-series price data over 1990:01-2020:04 for Arabica and over 2008:01-2020:04 for Robusta. The empirical results indicate that coffee spot markets play a dominant role in the coffee price discovery for both Arabica and Robusta. The results also show volatility spillovers take place from the coffee spot market to the futures markets. This study helps small-scale coffee …
