This study investigates the issue of extremism in religion from two aspects, theoretical and procedural. The theoretical aspect focuses on the conceptual context of the term extremism, its emergence and Islam’s view about it. The procedural aspect studies the University of Jordan students’ view about extremism in religion as for its causes and solutions. This study discusses the contemporaries criticism of hadith of Israa and Mi'raj in the Sahihin, it determines the reasons behind such criticisms, and the shortcoming in the methods by the critics, the ahadith of the prophets' night journey to Jerusalem and his elevation to heavens, the criticism was directed to the number of prayers mentioned in the hadith, and the number of the prophets whom prophet Muhammad met in that journey, in conclusion, the study refutes all the allegations about these ahadith and reveal the reasons behind the criticism.

This paper gives an overview of how the conflict in Syria has evolved from a revolution into a sectarian civil war. Power is maintained by the ruling Assad family through promotion of the Alawite minority within the government and military. Women’s political representation is linked to the empowerment of women in society. In efforts to alleviate women’s disenfranchisement from the political discourse, the international development framework included gender quotas as mechanisms to facilitate an increase in the presence of women in parliaments. Existing research has examined the link between Hanna F. Pitkin’s conceptualization of descriptive representation and substantive representation with a focus on performative measures of women parliamentarians. Conventionally, the first Muslim-Buddhist encounters are thought to have taken place in the context of the Arab-Muslim expansions into eastern Iran in the mid-seventh century, the conquest of Sind in 711 and the rise of the Islamic empire. The study examined concerned with the separation between spouses for reasons of defects in the light of Jordanian Personal Status Law number (36) for year 2010. It attempted to present the provisions included in the legal articles, supported by jurisprudential documentations and compared to the jurisprudential opinions. Briefly, the study showed the impact of separation for defects on iddah (period of waiting), dowry, alimony, number of divorce verbal acts, breast feeding, custody, inheritance, will, kinship, eligibility and renewal of marriage contract.
