Nick Roth's second quintet was commissioned by the Sligo International Chamber Music Festival to be premiered by Dermot Dunne, accordion and the Vogler string quartet. The work draws on many aspects of the muezzin call to prayer in the Islamic faith including the various different modes (or maqaams) used in the call to prayer throughout the day. This paper gives an overview of how the conflict in Syria has evolved from a revolution into a sectarian civil war. Power is maintained by the ruling Assad family through promotion of the Alawite minority within the government and military. Methods of persecution on the Sunni majority by the Assad government are discussed as well as a policy of strategic expulsion of the Sunni enclave to Idlib, a city on the outskirts of Syria (bordering Turkey).

Women’s political representation is linked to the empowerment of women in society. In efforts to alleviate women’s disenfranchisement from the political discourse, the international development framework included gender quotas as mechanisms to facilitate an increase in the presence of women in parliaments. Existing research has examined the link between Hanna F. Pitkin’s conceptualization of descriptive representation and substantive representation with a focus on performative measures of women parliamentarians. In Morocco, cannabis production and consumption are illegal, both medicinally and recreationally. The cultivation of the plant is among the top five in the world. This research will explore many aspects of cannabis in Morocco. There is much literature that exists surrounding the agricultural, economic, and political implications of cannabis, but this research will focus on social perceptions of cannabis and cannabis laws of local Moroccans. Conventionally, the first Muslim-Buddhist encounters are thought to have taken place in the context of the Arab-Muslim expansions into eastern Iran in the mid-seventh century, the conquest of Sind in 711 and the rise of the Islamic empire. In addition, she makes house calls to pregnant women throughout the camp who are fearful of hospitals due to past trauma and sexual torture. The study examined concerned with the separation between spouses for reasons of defects in the light of Jordanian Personal Status Law number (36) for year 2010. It attempted to present the provisions included in the legal articles, supported by jurisprudential documentations and compared to the jurisprudential opinions. Briefly, the study showed the impact of separation for defects on iddah (period of waiting), dowry, alimony, number of divorce verbal acts, breast feeding, custody, inheritance, will, kinship, eligibility and renewal of marriage contract.

كلمة (الأذى) في القرآن الكريم - دراسة سياقيّة دلاليّة- The Word (Harming) In The Holy Quran – A Semantic Contextual Study-, Mohammed Majali Rababaa

This research aims to study the word (al-adha) harming in the Qur'an and explore its meanings within the contexts. Other relevant words, which are (al-durr) and (al-su'), will be also looked at. Then the research examines "harming" with regards to messengers and their followers and it has been revealed that such an examination helps to assess the opinions of exegetes and to correct some views.

The current research concludes that the word (al-adha) harming is used to indicate little harm for a short time. However, in some different contexts, it is used to imply urging for comfort and patience.
