The proposed Area of Potential Effects (APE) is bisected by Nile Drive and bounded by Ennis Joslin Road to the north and east, Oso Creek to the north and west, and residential neighborhoods along Sahara Drive and Pharaoh Drive to the south. Between October 2012 and July 2013, Atkins conducted National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility testing at historic sites 41BP585 and 41BP594 and prehistoric site 41BP595, located within the Three Oaks Mine in Bastrop County, Texas, which is owned and operated by Luminant. Impacts to all three sites are anticipated as a result of planned mine development. This work was conducted under the direction of Principal Investigator David L. Sherman. This report of investigations was written at Atkins and is being finalized by Blanton & Associates, with David L. Sherman remaining as the Principal Investigator.

(HDR) to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey of the area proposed for the installation of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Treatment Plant in the unincorporated community of Brazos, Palo Pinto County, Texas. The Area of Potential Effects (APE) consists of the approximately 3.3-acre area of the RO Treatment Plant Site. The archaeological investigation conducted by HDR consisted of intensive survey of the APE to determine the presence/absence of archaeological resources by employing pedestrian survey, shovel testing, and photo documentation. An intensive archeological survey was completed in order to inventory and evaluate archeological resources within the footprint of improvements to Farm-to-Market (FM) 2001 in Hays and Caldwell Counties, Texas. The archeological area of potential effects (APE) totals 8.5 miles (13.7 kilometers), extending from the intersection of Interstate Highway 35 (I-35) and FM 2001 to just east of State Highway (SH) 21 (CSJ 1776-01-018). Fieldwork was conducted on July 2-3, 7-8, and August 5, 2014 under Antiquities Permit 6936. (Goshawk) conducted a cultural resources survey of the proposed ±15,034-foot (4,582-meter [m]) Shiner North Loop 12-Inch Inlet right-of-way (ROW) in Gonzales County, Texas at the request of EOG Resources, Inc. (EOG). The Area of Potential Effect (APE) consisted of a 75-foot (23-m) wide ROW. The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) contracted HDR to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey of the approximately 3.24 miles of 36-inch wastewater interceptor pipeline installation in the City of Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas. The Area of Potential Effects (APE) is approximately 3.24 miles in length within a 50-foot Right-ofWay (ROW). Approximately 1.35 miles of the project area falls within previouslydisturbed road ROW or area encompassed by commercial development. On 17 November 2014, Goshawk Environmental Consulting, Inc. (Goshawk) conducted a cultural resources survey of the proposed ±28,000-foot (±8,534-meter [m]) Naylor Jones Unit 13 Block A Gathering Pipeline right-of-way (ROW) in McMullen County, Texas, at the request of EOG Resources, Inc. (EOG). The Area of Potential Effect (APE) consisted of a proposed ROW measuring 75 feet (23 m) in width which crossed a first-order tributary of Muerto Creek, the Frio River, and the Mossy Slough. On October 28, archeologists from POWER Engineers, Inc. (POWER) conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed Long Road electrical substation project (Project) in Denton County, Texas. The survey was undertaken on behalf of Denton Municipal Electric (DME) for a proposed substation facility that will connect with the existing Texas Municipal Power Agency 138 kV transmission line extending from the Denton North Interchange to the Arco Substation. No archeological materials were recorded as a result of the survey.

(HDR) to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey in advance of proposed road improvements to Hero Way (Old FM 2243) in the City of Leander, Williamson County, Texas. In July and August of 2014, under Texas Antiquities Permit #6914, Hicks & Company completed an intensive archeological survey of the Alazan Creek and Martinez Creek Hike and Bike Trail Improvements Project in Bexar County, Texas. Since construction of the new trails and park improvements will take place on land to be owned by the City of San Antonio, it is subject to the Antiquities Code of Texas. In conjunction with the proposed construction of the southwest segment of State Highway 45 in southern Travis County, the Texas Department of Transportation sponsored archeological testing and data recovery efforts at the Ransom Williams farmstead. Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted an interdisciplinary community-based historic archeological study of the farmstead from 2005 through 2011. Extensive archival research reveals that the 45-acre farm was owned and occupied by Ransom Williams and his wife Sarah, both former slaves, from about 1871 to ca. 1905.
