In this issue, Associate Editor Mali Schantz-Feld cautions dental communicators about the irresponsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting three major risks. The first is the fabrication or "hallucination" of non-existent scholarly references, exemplified by submitted articles where more than half of the citations were fake. The second risk is the removal of human personality, emotion, and nuance, which causes content to feel robotic; this occurred when a profile of an inspiring dentist was run through AI, stripping away their inner light and philosophy. Throughout history, travel narratives have taken up various forms and served various purposes. The changes of forms and functions were influenced by the spirit of the age. Today, in the contemporary digital era, social media platforms like Instagram have transformed travel narratives into stories combining images and texts that significantly impact public attitude on travel and tourism. Disability/illness is an enigma that we experience but whose implications we have not fully fathomed. One's sense of self is impacted by disability/ illness. Autopathographies gave people with disability/ chronic illness a chance to share their life with a disability or a chronic illness, which also reflects on identity.
