This dissertation study compares the language metaphor in Arabic and Malay short stories by two eminent authors namely Zakaria Tamer and Azizi Hj. Abdullah. The focus of the study is in the aspect of styles from figurative language in Arabic and Malay as well as examine the similarities and differences.
