Szabo graduated from the University of Dayton in 1935 majoring in pre-dentistry. Professionally, Dr. Szabo was a well-respected oral surgeon in the Dayton area. During his practice, which spanned over 50 years, he fought and paved the way for all oral surgeons in and around the Dayton area to have privileges to operate in all the hospitals. Objective. Our purpose was to investigate radiology fellowship directors' and recent fellows' experiences and perceptions with regard to the fellowship application and selection process and to compare these experiences and perceptions. Materials and Methods. Institutional review board approval was obtained. We conducted an online survey of the memberships of three radiology subspecialty societies between October 2009 and December 2009 to learn about radiologists' views regarding various aspects of radiology fellowships. In 2011, American Cancer Society reported that about 230,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in the US, and among them 40,000 died. This disease targets women of all ages and races, and although survival rates have increased recently, it is still a huge problem that influences the lives of millions of people. In case of non-metastatic breast cancers, patients are usually responsive to various treatments, but in patients with metastatic breast cancer the current medications are not fully effective. Investigating And Improving Medical Education And Library Resources At The Tamale Teaching Hospital In Northern Ghana : A Case Report Part 2., John Chenault

In part one of this case report, published in the Spring Issue of Kentucky Libraries (Volume 76, Number 2), I described my journey to Tamale, Ghana to provide a series of training workshops at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), Nursing Training School (NTS), and the University of Development Studies (UDS), and to conduct a needs assessment to gather information to develop a series of grant proposals to assist the local health sciences libraries with improving their collections. Part two of this report briefly describes the consultations that took place and the planning and project outcomes to-date.

The Socialization Of Bullying Through Community College Nursing Education: A Multiple Case Study, Margaret M. O'Conner Machon

Educational Leadership & Workforce Development Theses & Dissertations

Many recent studies propose that bullying in the workplace is prevalent and is a phenomenon which occurs in the nursing workplace as well as in nursing education. This qualitative study examined the effects of vertical bullying upon community college nursing students and graduates, and the effect of this behavior upon the socialization of those learning the nursing profession. The study is based on a theoretical framework based on the findings of Salin (2003) and Twale and De Luca (2008) adapting their theory of bullying in academia which incorporated enabling, motivating and precipitating factors leading to intensified bullying.
