A152: Effect Of Stroboscopic Visual Perturbation On Posture Control In Patients With Chronic Ankle Instability, Mengyu Liu, Zhipeng Zhou, Yurui Shen, Liangliang Zheng 2026 Shandong Sport University

A152: Effect Of Stroboscopic Visual Perturbation On Posture Control In Patients With Chronic Ankle Instability, Mengyu Liu, Zhipeng Zhou, Yurui Shen, Liangliang Zheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Chronic ankle instability (CAI) is a common sports injury, often accompanied by reduced proprioception, muscle weakness, and impaired balance. Its etiology is often attributed to inadequate rehabilitation following initial ankle sprains, resulting in ligament laxity or damage. This study aimed to investigate whether stroboscopic visual disturbance influences static and dynamic postural control in individuals with CAI, thereby exploring the relationship between visual input and postural stability. Method: Thirty college students with unilateral CAI (9 males, 21 females; age: 21.3±1.2 years, height: 168.1±9.8 cm, weight: 63.5±11.6 kg) were recruited. Their static and dynamic postural control was measured in three conditions: eyes …

A154: Effects Of Stroboscopic Vision On Static Postural Control In Individuals With Chronic Ankle Instability, Yurui Shen, Mengyu Liu, Jingkun Zhang, Ting Lai, Zhipeng Zhou

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Chronic ankle instability (CAI) is a syndrome characterized by persistent dysfunction resulting from repeated ankle sprains, often leading to impaired postural control in affected individuals. Although rehabilitation training on unstable surfaces is effective for patients with CAI, it does not sufficiently reduce their reliance on visual input. While eye-closure training can restrict visual input, it poses safety risks and exhibits low compliance rates. Stroboscopic vision may offer a safe and effective alternative; however, its efficacy in reducing visual reliance among CAI patients on unstable surfaces remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the impact of stroboscopic vision on static …

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Biological aging arises from the accumulation of molecular changes or “hallmarks”, which can represent a person's aging status than chronological age. A healthy lifestyle can slow biological aging and prevent or delay the onset of multiple age-related diseases. This study is the first to investigate the independent and joint association of physical activity (PA) and inflammatory diet with acceleration of aging. Method: Data from 4767 participants in the 2017-2020 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were analyzed. Binary logistic regression models, adjusted for age, sex, race, socioeconomic status, smoking, and sleep disturbances, were used to assess the independent and …

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a prevalent knee disorder among athletes, known for its high incidence rate and propensity to progress into chronic conditions. Female athletes are more vulnerable due to inherent hip-knee muscle imbalances and aberrant movement patterns. Unfortunately, dedicated rehabilitation studies focusing on female judo athletes remain scarce. This research aims to alleviate PFPS symptoms by implementing core and functional training regimens and to analyze the significance of hip-knee muscle balance in the recovery process. Sixteen female judo athletes from the Henan Heavy Combat Sports Management Center, diagnosed with PFPS, were randomly into an experimental group (n=8) and …

A169: Physical Education Teachers' Role Reconstruction In P.E.-Education Integration: A Systematic Review, Wei Cheng

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

The integration of sports and education policies in China has driven the redefinition of the role of physical education (PE) teachers, shifting their responsibilities from traditional instructional tasks to multifaceted competencies that encompass teaching, coaching, and holistic student development. Despite increasing emphasis on cultivating "dual-qualified" educators (possessing both pedagogical expertise and athletic training proficiency), systemic challenges persist, including fragmented training mechanisms for dual-role teachers, insufficient research on the career adaptability of retired athletes transitioning into teaching roles, and the absence of unified standards for evaluating teachers’ integrated in-class and extracurricular competencies. This study systematically reviews these gaps to establish a …
