Vertical Price Transmission In The Philippine Rice Supply Chain: Responses To Shocks In The Post-Tariffication Period, Bates Bathan

In the post-Rice Tariffication Law (RTL) period, several protectionist policies and state interventions have reemerged in the Philippine rice market. Using national-level time series data from January 2018 to April 2025, the study applies autoregressive distributed lag models to assess the impact of policy changes and external shocks on unmilled rice (palay) and rice prices. Results show that National Food Authority (NFA) rice stocks significantly affect palay farmgate prices and special rice retail prices. This study examines the attitudes of cotton producers in Şanlıurfa toward establishing a producers’ union to address structural challenges in Türkiye’s leading cotton production region. Şanlıurfa contributes approximately 40% of Türkiye’s cotton output, yet lacks organizational frameworks for its nearly 20,000 producers who face significant risks including price volatility, high input costs, and limited market access. The research utilized primary data collected through face-to-face surveys with 165 cotton producers selected via convenience sampling. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), independent samples t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. Irrigation plays a vital role in stabilizing crop production under climatic variability in the southeastern United States. However, limited long-term empirical evidence exists on how irrigation practices, water sources, and energy demands have evolved in South Carolina. The aim of this study was to examine temporal changes in irrigation characteristics in South Carolina. The analysis utilized two decades (2003–2023) of data from the United States Department of Agriculture – National Agricultural Statistics Service, Irrigation and Water Management Surveys. Kulit buah pisang Muli memiliki potensi sebagai bahan pakan sumber serat pengganti rumput lapang, namun saat ini penggunaannya masih terbatas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mempelajari penggunaan kulit buah pisang Muli dalam ransum terhadap fermentabilitas dan kecernaan (in vitro). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan ransum yang mengandung 10, 20, 30, dan 40% kulit buah pisang Muli. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji Duncan. Penelitian menghasilkan data yang memberi petunjuk adanya pengaruh nyata (P3yang terendah yaitu berturut-turut sebesar 161,5 mM, 66,72%, 66,15% dan 1,94 mM. Penelitian pembuatan gelatin dari limbah shaving kulit kambing pikel dengan konsentrasi asam sulfat sebagai bahan perencdam telah dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi asam sulfat terhadap mutu kimia dan mendapatkan tingkat persentase konsentrasi asam sulfat terbaik. This study evaluates the economic viability of integrating poultry into organic vegetable crop rotations over three years in Kentucky and Iowa and two years in California. Given the growing global demand for food and heightened environmental awareness, understanding the financial implications of such integrated systems is crucial. Our comprehensive experiment compared integrated poultry-vegetable rotations with vegetable-only systems, assessing costs, revenues, and key factors influencing profitability. While integrating poultry reduced vegetable production costs by up to 10% in some cases, overall system costs increased due to high poultry expenses.
