On 7th July 2010 at 08:30 KAB 174 Rippers FEL of [Demining group] MDU-05 started ground processing operations in MF 0351, supporting MDG-20 in their clearance operations. During this operation a P2MK2 anti-vehicle mine exploded on its right back tyre and caused damages to it and its wheel. Fortunately there is no any casualty involved in this incident. On 1 May 2006 Irish Aid started funding Mines Advisory Group (MAG) to implement the project ‘Integrated Humanitarian Mine Action Programme, Iraq' in Erbil, Dahuk and Mosul. This article studies the effects of human rights international nongovernmental organizations (INGOs) on domestic antigovernment protest. Unlike mainstream scholarship, the authors argue that human rights INGOs are not simply the magic bullet in orchestrating nonviolent protests; different types of human rights INGO activity have varying effects on protest. Moreover, some human rights INGO activities may lead to higher levels of violent protest. The empirical tests use new data on the activities of over 400 human rights INGOs and domestic nonviolent and violent protest globally from 1991 to 2004. The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) is generally perceived to be relevant and effective within the mine action sector, although there are some vocal, and potentially significant groups that take a more negative view.

In interviews with attendees at the 13th International Meeting of National Mine Action Programme Directors and UN Advisors, 65% of respondents were positive about the Centre's relevance and 63% about its effectiveness.
