ABSTRAK Migrasi daJaman memainkan peranan penting dalarn proses pembangunan ekonomi, pertumbuhan perbandaran dan perkembangan industrialisasi negara. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesan sosio-ekonomi migrasi keluar desa ke atas komuniti pertanian. yang mengalami pengurangan penduduk. Data yang digunakan dalam kajian ini berasaskan survei isi rumah yang dijalankan di Kerian, Hilir Perak, Sabak Bemam dan Rembau. Keputusan Regresi Logit Multinomial menunjukkan rnigrasi keluar desa memberikan kesan positif ke atas taraf hidup isi rumah melalui wang kiriman yang dihantar oleh migran. An increasing number of articles in professional and scientific journals, as well as in the public press, give evidence to a rising number of conflicts that exist in rural communities. These conflicts arise from changes in farming practices, the increasing number of large-scale production units, resource use, and demographics. Fair, effective and efficient approaches to resolve these conflicts are of increasing interest and importance. An interactive conflict resolution (ICR) approach that focuses on communication and positive social interactions may be a preferred approach for resolving conflicts. This paper summarizes the results of a survey of a stratified, random sample of 630 hog operations in Indiana and Nebraska. The survey was conducted in March and April, 2000 with support of a research grant to contribute to the development of a knowledge base to guide the design and implementation of effective risk management programs, policies and tools.

The importance of climate (temperature and precipitation) variability on Nebraska dryland winter wheat yield trend is examined. The use of short term (1956-1999) climatic divisional panel data (interspatial) and long term (1909-1999) state time series data (intertemporal) is to address the predictability power of estimating the yield trends accounting for climate variability.

The information presented in this report represents data collected from farming and ranching operations in the southern two tiers of counties in Nebraska. This study was based on a random sample of 15 1 southern Nebraska farms that have annually-planted crop acreage. Information was obtained for the 1997 crop year. This data set is referred to as the MSU/UNL survey data.

From the MSU/UNL survey data, the average size of the farming operations in the survey, in 1997, was 1,3 16 acres. Of these, 856 acres were planted to annual crops, and the remaining 460 acres included 61 acres in …

A key part of the effort to estimate the economic value of the ocean is to develop estimates of the appropriate values of the goods and services traded in the market economy.
