Land conflict, tenure insecurity and an inequitable distribution of land are among the most pressing challenges facing Cambodia today. In a country in which most people depend on agriculture, livestock rearing, fishing and forest products for their livelihoods, secure access to safe and productive land is crucial. Yet, over the past decade land conflict has increased dramatically, with one NGO reporting having recorded disputes involving 700,000 people between 2000 and 2012. Land distribution is highly unequal: In 2010 it was estimated that just one percent of the population owned 30 percent of Cambodia’s land.

The exact number of disabled people living in Laos today is unknown due to inadequate surveys, poor reporting and little incentive for individuals to register as disabled. Despite the large number of disabled persons in Laos, they are a highly underrepresented minority. However, disability issues have become increasingly mainstream in Lao society in recent years, and a renewed effort to secure disability rights has ensued.

Flow is a new citation management product released by ProQuest in 2013, bridging the robust features in RefWorks with other popular characteristics from its competitors like Mendeley or Zotero. Additional features such as document annotations and revised folder sharing are great additions. However, Flow still lacks a full mobile-friendly interface and complete ADA-accessible navigation. Overall, Flow is a huge step forward in design and usability for those already familiar with RefWorks and who need a very robust citation management tool.

During the last week of May 2014, the Digger D-250 was tested at one of SWEDEC facilities – the Norra Kulla Test Site - near Eksjö, Sweden. This test was planned and facilitated by SWEDEC. The methodology specified in CEN Workshop Agreement”CEN Workshop Agreement 15044; Test and Evaluation of Demining Machines” was used. It started with a performance test and ended up with an extended survivability test. The machine was tested with a tiller tool. These tests make the content of this report. Two Cambodian demining experts were killed in Battambang province’s Samlot district on Saturday after detonating an anti-tank mine while carrying out clearance work in the former Khmer Rouge stronghold.

The primary cause of this accident is listed as ‘Inadequate training’ because the Victims were apparently cutting undergrowth (grass) in a manner that detonated an anti-tank mine (which is designed to require the weight of a heavy vehicle to detonate). This study seeks to examine the uses of embedded writing tutoring (specifically, a Writing Fellow) in an undergraduate psychology course in order to better understand the impacts of such programs on students’ writing process, written products, and attitudes toward writing. A Writing Fellow attended lab meetings and held office hours in one section of a research methods course. The other two sections of the course served as treatment-as-usual control groups. Throughout the semester, students reported their writing process and attitudes toward writing. Student writing was evaluated using an APA-style scoring instrument.
