This qualitative case study explored the perceptions of two individuals with intellectual disabilities who participated in a person-centered physical training program that identified factors of motivation and influences on self-determined physical choices. The findings of this study revealed five factors that seemed to motivate participants to exercise; (a) enjoyable activities, (b) personalized program, (c) exercises that promoted health and positive self-images, (d) exercise routines that were familiar and safe, and (e) an exercise partnership with the trainer. Considering these factors of motivation, community leaders, administrators, and practitioners may promote self-determination and ultimately, impact participation by individuals with intellectual disabilities. Objectives: Fruits and vegetables (FV) play an important role in people’s health. The current study aimed analyzed if specific colors of FV are associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) risk in the United States (US) Hispanic/Latino population.

Methods: This study used participants from the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL). It is a multi-center, prospective cohort study with 5,740 self-identified Hispanic/Latino individuals from 2008-2011. Data collected include anthropometrics, oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), dietary intake, medical history, physical activity, and sociodemographic information. This study aimed to investigate Mycoplasma species by cultural and molecular methods in 250 pneumonics and 30 healthy appearance sheep lungs brought from slaughterhouse and butcheries in the Kars region of Turkey. The phylogenetic positioning of the bacterial strains to be obtained in the present study was another remarkable outcome of the study. Mycoplasma isolation was achieved solely in 26 (10.4%) of 250 sheep lungs with pneumonia. The study was conducted to estimate the expected genetic gain (ΔG) for first lactation performance traits in Sahiwal cattle as a result of direct selection of animals maintained at the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute in India. Data pertaining to 305-day milk yield (305DMY), wet average (WA), and calving to first insemination interval (CFI) of the animals considering 13 counts of progenies/ sire were initially analyzed. The ΔG through direct selection was 43.68 kg/year, 0.13 kg/year, and 1.68 days/year for 305DMY, WA, and CFI, which was 1.97%, 1.65%, and 2.02% of herd average, respectively. The purpose of this study is to investigate resistance to antibiotics of Staphylococcus species isolated from various samples belonging to different animal species. Among 48 Staphylococcus spp. strains, Staphylococcus intermedius was the most common species, followed by S. aureus, S. epidermidis, S. hyicus, S. saprophyticus. In a total of 48 Staphylococcus strains, the highest antibiotic resistance was observed to oxacillin (79.17%), tetracycline (39.58%), and ampicillin and cefoxitin (31.25%). Of 48 Staphylococcus strains, 42 showed resistance to at least one antimicrobial agent, while 23 of the strains had multidrug resistance.
