Introduction: Mixed episode has been an unrelieved source of discussion in the field of psychiatry over the course of two decades as the DSM-IV criteria for both a depressive and manic episode had to be fulfilled to make this diagnosis. Thus far, no study has been done on the Malay ethnic group. Hence, this study assessed the allele and genotype frequencies of PTGS2 and DEFB1 variants in subjects with CP and periodontally healthy individuals in Malaysian Malays. Dengue is an emerging arboviral disease endemic to many tropical countries including Malaysia. Due to its unspecific symptoms, dengue diagnosis can only be confirmed through diagnostic tests. Existing laboratory-based dengue diagnostics like enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is accurate in detecting dengue non-structural protein-1 (NS1), and anti-dengue immunoglobulin M (IgM) and G (IgG); but is also more complicated and time-consuming. Commercially available dengue rapid immunochromatographic test (RIT) is efficient but less sensitive. Objective: Examine health behavior risk rates and disparities in health behavior risks related to race and employment among older adults.

Methods: A cross-sectional analysis of a representative sample of noninstitutionalized adults aged 65 and older (150,669 in 2015 and 168,011 in 2016) from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. Self-reported health behavior risks were measured as well as multiple logistic regression analyses assessing the independent effects of demographic variables on health behavior risks.

Results: Employed older adults have greater health behavior risks than unemployed older adults. Black employed older adults have greater health behavior risks than Black unemployed older adults …

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the biomechanical and histologic properties of rotator cuff repairs using a vented anchor attached to a bioresorbable interpositional scaffold composed of aligned PLGA (poly(l-lactide-co-glycoside)) microfibers in an animal model compared to standard anchors in an ovine model.

METHODS: Fifty-six (n = 56) skeletally mature sheep were randomly assigned to a repair of an acute infraspinatus tendon detachment using a innovative anchor-PLGA scaffold device (Treatment) or a similar anchor without the scaffold (Control). This research paper aims to grow and optically characterize the Zinc-Oxide (ZnO) nanowires grown using the hydrothermal synthesis method on different semiconductor wafers. We have developed the samples on p-type silicon, n-type silicon, and silicon di-oxide wafers at different temperatures, molarities, and times. Using hydrothermal synthesis method Zinc Oxide nanowires are grown. Zinc Nitrate Hexa-hydrate and Hexamethylenetetramine are chemical components used in the hydrothermal synthesis method at low temperatures.
