ลูกไก่ซึ่งป่วยเป็นโรคพูลโมนารีแอสเปอร์จิลโลซีส ที่ส่งมาตรวจยังหน่วยพยาธิวิทยา แผนกพยาธิวิทยานั้นพบว่ามีอายุระหว่าง 2 - 6 วัน โดยมีอัตราการป่วย 1-20% อัตราการตาย 1-20% ได้ทำการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับอาการสัตว์ป่วย, การตรวจผ่าซาก, การตรวจชิ้นเนื้อทางกล้องจุลทัศน์, การตรวจแยกหาเชื้อ, การรักษา และป้องกันโดยละเอียด

Several investigations have shown that very young piglets utilize dietary fat very badly. Peo et al. (1957) reported that there was no significant difference in feed efficiency due to dietary fat to piglets from an age of 8 days up to an age of 28 days. But the appearance of the piglets improved when fat was added to the rations. Eusebio et al. (1965) found that increased fat levels in the diet did not im- prove the efficiency of feed utilization, and in general added fat tended to decrease the rate of gain. Nielsen et al. "ข้าวฟ่างต่างพันธุกันมักจะมีปริมาณโปรตีนและกรดอะมิโนแตกต่างกัน ส่วนใหญ่จะ ขาดกรดอะมิโนหลายชนิด เช่น ไลซีน ฮิสทิดีน อาร์จินีน ลูซีน แวลีน และพวกที่ประกอบ ด้วยซัลเฟอร์ แม้จะใช้ร่วมกับกากถั่วเหลือง เป็นอาหารเลี้ยงไก่แล้วก็ตามก็ยังมีปัญหาขาด แคลนแมทธิโอนีน การทดลองในครั้งนี้ได้มีการเสริมกรดอะมิโนสังเคราะห์ (Frozen dried ES4) ซึ่งมีกรดอะมิโน 18 ชนิด โดยเสริมลงในอาหารไก่กระทงที่ประกอบด้วย ข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ เฮกเกอรี่ และอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ IS58719 ในระดับ 43 เปอร์ เซนต์ ระยะ 6 สัปดาห์แรก และ 56 เปอร์เซนต์ใน 4 สัปดาห์หลัง เปรียบเทียบกับ อาหารที่มีข้าวโพดเป็นหลัก ไก่ทดลองที่ใช้คือไก่เนื้อพันธุ์ชัยบาร์ตคละเพศ อายุ 1 วัน แบ่ง โดยวิธีสุ่มเลือกเป็น 6 พวก (treatment) พวกละ 3 หน่วย (experimental unit) ที่ 1 ให้กินอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวโพดเป็นหลัก พวกที่ 2 ให้กินอาหารสูตรเดียวกันกับ พวกที่ 1 แต่เสริมกรดอะมิโนใน 4 สัปดาห์แรก พวกที่ 3 ให้กินอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ เฮกเกอรี่ พวกที่ 4 ให้กินอาหารสูตรเดียวกันกับพวกที่ 3 และเสริมกรดอะมิโนใน 4 สัปดาห์แรก พวกที่ 5 ให้กินอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ IS8719 และพวกที่ 6 ให้กินอาหารสูตรเดียวกันกับพวกที่ 5 โดยเสริมกรดอะมิโนใน 4 สัปดาห์แรก ผลการทดลองพบว่าไก่ชอบกินอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ IS8719เช่นเดียวกับการใช้ข้าวโพด และกินได้มากกว่าอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างพันธุ์ เฮกเกอรี่ ส่วนการเติมกรดอะมิโนสงเคราะห์ในอาหารทุกสูตร ไม่ทำให้อาหารน่ากินยิ่งขึ้นเลย ในด้าน การเจริญเติบโตของไก่ปรากฏว่าอาหารที่ประกอบด้วยข้าวฟ่างทั้งสองพันธุ์ให้ผลทัดเทียมกับ การเติมกรดอะมิโน 18 ชนิดไม่ช่วยให้ไก่เจริญเติบโตดีขึ้น ในแง่การ เปลี่ยนอาหาร …

"Pale, soft and exudate" pork has been known for a long time from experience among the meat inspectors. There has been a growing interest in studies of physilogical and biochemical factors of importance to the morphology as well as physical properties of pork. Existence of consider-able variations of these aspects of pork quality has been known for many years. Ludvigsen (1953) stated that such muscular changes greatly detoriorate the quality of product in meat packing industry. พิษของแอมโมเนีย และอาหารไม่ย่อย (Ammonia Toxicity And Acute Indigestion), สมศักดิ์ บวรสิน
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
โรคพิษของแอมโมเนีย (ammonia toxicity) และอาหารไม่ย่อย (indigestion) เป็น โรคที่พบได้เสมอในสัตว์เคี้ยวเอื้อง โดยเฉพาะในวัวและแกะ โรคสองโรคนี้เป็นโรคในหลาย ๆ โรคที่เกี่ยวข้องกับจุลชีพใน rumen อันเนื่องมาจากชนิดและส่วนประกอบของอาหาร ตลอดจน ปริมาณของอาหารที่ใช้เลี้ยงสัตว์ ดังได้กล่าวแล้วในเรื่อง “ท้องอืดในสัตว์เคี้ยวเอื้อง” (บวรสิน, 2516) อาหารที่สัตว์ เคี้ยวเอื้องกินเข้าไป จะประกอบด้วยสารประกอบไนโตรเจน คาร์โบไฮเดรท และไขมัน (lipids) ซึ่งสารประกอบทั้งสามชนิดนี้จะถูกหมัก (ferment) โดยจุลชีพในกระเพาะส่วนต้น (rumen) ของ สัตว์ จนกลายเป็นกรดไขมัน (volatile fatty acids, VFA) สําหรับอาหารพวกโปรตีนหรืออาหาร ที่มีไนโตรเจนเป็นส่วนประกอบ จะถูกย่อยโดยจุลชีพให้เป็นกรดอะมิโน และแอมโมเนีย แอม โมเนียเหล่านี้นอกจากจะถูกดูดซึมเข้าเส้นเลือดของสัตว์แล้ว จุลชีพยังสามารถดึงเอามาใช้ในการดำรงชีพได้อีกด้วย

ม้าเพศเมียพันธุ์ ผสม thoroughbred อายุประมาณ 5 - 6 ปี 4 ตัวแสดงอาการป่วย โดยยืนซึม คอตก ยืนพิงคอก กินอาหารได้น้อย ขณะปล่อยลงแปลงจะแยกตัวออกจากฝูง ยืนหลบ แดด กินหญ้าได้น้อย สภาพทั่วไปของร่างกาย ค่อนข้างผอม มีไข้ขึ้นๆ ลงๆ mucous membrane ในช่องปากซีดและเหลือง แสดงอาการของ anemia, icterus, edema และ ecchymotic hemorrhage as bulbar, palpebral conjunctiva a third eyelids onan edema ของ subcutandous tissue ปรากฏตั้งแต่ brisket ไปถึง belly และที่ขาทั้ง 4 การเจาะเลือดตรวจแบบ fresh blood smear แล้ว confirmed ด้วยการทํา mouse inoculation พบว่าเป็น Trypanosoma evansi ให้การรักษาโดย Quinapyramine และยาฉีด บำรุงเลือด ปรากฏว่าม้าทุกตัวหายเป็นปรกติดี

Fungi isolated from Pulmonary Mycosis in chicks in Thailand are Candida albicans, Aspergillus spp. and Mucor spp. Candida albicans was isolated from the infected chicks 3-4 weeks old. These birds were raised in the infected pens which served as the resevoir of the disease. Pulmonary Mucormycosis and Pulmonary Aspergillosis occurred in the chicks 1-10 days old. It was characterized by gasping and breathing by mouth. Death occurred due to physiological obstruction of the air passages in the lungs. One colony of Mucor spp. was isolated from one unused paper box out of 20 boxes. These boxes were used for transportation …

Transmammary passage of Strongyloides papillosus larvae was found in cattle naturally. Larvae of S. papillosus were found in milk samples from 6 of 11 cows. A case of fibroma in a year-old male Sombar Deer was diagnosed. tumor was moderately firm, whitish in color and originated on the posterior side of the coffin joint of left pelvic limb, measured 6 x 9 x 5 cm.
