Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare, occurring in 10 - 15 per million, and 0.2% of all gastrointestinaltumors, and is generally considered a solitary tumor. This study presented a 57 year-old female with abdominalpain and intermittent vomiting for 6 months. Acute abdomen series did not show any evidence of a small bowelobstruction. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) suggested partial small bowel obstruction. A contrast enhancedCT scan (CECT) of the abdomen demonstrated jejuno-jejunal intussusception induced by an intraluminal tumorand another two mesenteric tumors confirmed by histopathology and immunohistochemistry as GISTs. Background: Prolonged oxidative stress leads to apoptosis of keratinocytes and, consequently, results in skincell damage.Objective: To investigate the in vitro effects of alpha lipoic acid (LA) and lipoic acid loaded calcium citratenanoparticles (LA loaded CaCitNPs) in terms of cell protection against oxidative stress-induced cellular damage.Methods: HaCaT cells were preincubated with and without LA and LA loaded CaCitNPs before oxidative stressinduction by H2O2. A Glass Marble Ball In The Maxillary Sinus, Transorbital Floor Penetration: A Case Report, Krissanaporn Jirawarakul

Foreign bodies in the sinus are uncommon and transorbital foreign bodies in the maxillary sinus are veryrare. We hereby described a case of a glass marble ball about 1.6 cm in diameter that penetrated into the rightmaxillary sinus through the orbital floor without globe rupture. The foreign body in the sinus should be removedto prevent further infection and other complications. In this case, the glass marble ball was removed by a transnasalendoscopic technique with a widened maxillary antrum after guarding of orbital ball upward in order to preventthe orbital injury. There were no immediate and long term postoperative complications.

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenators (ECMO) after arterial switch operation (ASO) is a rescue therapy forpatients who cannot wean from cardiopulmonary bypass as a bridge to recovery and/or transplantation. We,hereby, present a case report series of four patients from an institute who underwent ECMO after ASO fordextro-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA). Two patients subsequently weaned off ECMO but only onepatient survived to discharge. Background: Gleason score is an important pathologic factor for risk stratification in prostate cancer.
