Pyle's disease, also known as familial metaphyseal dysplasia, is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder that primarily affects the skeletal system, particularly in children and adolescents. Characterized by distinctive radiographic features such as Erlenmeyer flask deformity and metaphyseal widening, Pyle's disease often goes underdiagnosed due to its mild clinical manifestations.

Statins are widely used lipid-lowering agents that significantly reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality through inhibition of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase. Beyond their cholesterol-lowering properties, increasing evidence demonstrates that statins exert several pleiotropic effects independent of lipid reduction. These effects include anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic, and anti-proliferative actions mediated primarily through inhibition of the mevalonate pathway and downstream signaling molecules such as Rho, Rac, and Ras. Background: The murine double minute 2 (MDM2) gene encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets p53 for degradation, thereby influencing the pathogenesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Objective. The present study investigates MDM2 mRNA expression and its association with clinical and pathological characteristics in OSCC patients.

Methods: We conducted an observational-analytical study using a cross-sectional design. The study involved 39 OSCC patients. We present an unusual case of skip segment Hirschsprung’s disease which was initially diagnosed with total colonic aganglionosis. A term male newborn presented with distal intestinal obstruction underwent exploratory laparotomy at three days old after ultrasound-guided contrast enema. Intra-operative frozen section of the full-thickness biopsies of each part of the colon and terminal ileum reported no ganglion cells, so we performed double-end ileostomy. Pituitary apoplexy is a rare clinical syndrome caused by acute hemorrhage or infarction of the pituitary gland. It is most frequently reported in men during the 5th and 6th decades of life and is rarely encountered in young women. We describe a 19-year-old woman who presented with acute visual disturbance accompanied by occasional mild headache. Ophthalmologic examination revealed bitemporal hemianopia, and head MRI demonstrated an intrasellar mass with suprasellar extension, intratumoral hemorrhage, and optic chiasm compression, consistent with pituitary macroadenoma with apoplexy. Clinicians should be vigilant of such entity especially in giant epidermal cyst despite a seemingly benign imaging finding. Long term outcome of surgery for such tumor remains an uncertainty.

Background: Emerging roles of artificial intelligence support in breast imaging leads to improved radiologists’ performance

Objective: To assess the diagnostic performance of the artificial intelligence decision support in the evaluation of breast masses using automated breast ultrasound (ABUS).

Methods: 182 patients (415 breast masses) who received ABUS were included. Two readers, including the experienced breast radiologist (reader1) and the breast imaging fellow (reader2), separately reviewed the ABUS images and the artificial intelligence decision support according to the ACR BI-RADS 5^th edition.
