Background: Families receive guidance from healthcare providers on managing their children’s autism spectrum disorder (ASD); however, both parents and providers have reported that providers often have insufficient knowledge about ASD. Successfully managing ASD requires knowledge about both the real-world needs of families with children who have ASD and the ability to evaluate the real-world effectiveness of strategies designed to meet these needs. The incorporation by providers of knowledge that originated from the families of their pediatric patients with ASD, termed family-derived knowledge, could overcome this gap. Neural tube defects are one of the leading congenital malformations that affect children in Latin America and worldwide, leading to pregnancy terminations, morbidity, mortality, and long-term disability. The most cost-effective and equitable way to prevent them is by implementing public health policies for food fortification with folic acid. However, a lack of knowledge translation strategies partly accounts for the incomplete enactment, enforcement, and scaling-up of mandatory fortification. Rates of bacterial sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the United States are high and, largely, still soaring. Though chlamydia cases have decreased slightly since 2017, gonorrhea and syphilis have increased by 25% and 68%, respectively, and congenital syphilis has increased by 184%. Bacterial STI can lead to pain, infertility, and even, in the case of syphilis and congenital syphilis, death. With appropriate detection and treatment, all of these STIs are curable. And yet a range of barriers between communities and the healthcare system perpetuate the STI epidemic.

Congenital syphilis (CS) is an infection acquired in utero that can lead to devastating outcomes, including stillbirth, infant death, or long-term health complications. Over the past decade, rising national rates of syphilis, including among women, have led to major increases in congenital syphilis cases and deaths.

CS is tragic and costly, but it is also preventable. With appropriate testing and treatment during prenatal care, syphilis in a pregnant woman can be identified and treated, and transmission to the fetus averted.

INTRODUCTION: Faculty are increasingly expected to teach about the impact of racism on health and to model the principles of health equity. However, they often feel ill-equipped to do so, and there is limited literature on faculty development on these topics. We developed a curriculum for faculty education on racism and actions to advance racial health equity.

METHODS: The curriculum design was based on a literature review and needs assessments. Implementation consisted of four live virtual 1-hour sessions incorporating interactive didactics, cases, reflection, goal setting, and discussion offered to a multidisciplinary group of pediatric faculty at a children's hospital. OBJECTIVE: To quantify ChatGPT's concordance with expert Otolaryngologists when posed with high-level questions that require blending rote memorization and critical thinking.

STUDY DESIGN: Cross-sectional survey.

SETTING: OpenAI's ChatGPT-3.5 Platform.

METHODS: Two board-certified otolaryngologists (HZ, RS) input 2 sets of 30 text-based questions (open-ended and single-answer multiple-choice) into the ChatGPT-3.5 model. Responses were rated on a scale (correct, partially correct, incorrect) by each Otolaryngologist working simultaneously with the AI model. Interrater agreement percentage was based on binomial distribution for calculating the 95% confidence intervals and performing significance tests. Statistical significance was defined as

Treatment rates for mental illness are lower in men (37.4%) compared to women (51.2%) [1]. Background: Clinical practice screening guidelines recommend cotesting, a test that combines DNA Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing with cervical cytology (also known as Pap testing) every 5-years, as a highly effective and preferred method for cervical cancer prevention among average-risk women aged 30-65. UNLABELLED: Websites are important tools for programs to provide future residency applicants with freely accessible information regarding their program, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

OBJECTIVE: To describe the variability of DEI content in residency programs and compare DEI website content by specialty.

METHODS: Using the 2021 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) list of residency programs, residency training websites were identified and evaluated. Information was extracted from program websites as indicators of DEI content. Chi-square analysis and one-way ANOVA were chosen to assess for statistical differences.

RESULTS: In total, 4644 program websites representing 26 specialties were assessed. …

Strauss Library at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus was part of the regional group of repositories called Mountain Scholar using DSpace when the lead for Mountain Scholar, Colorado State University (CSU), announced that they could no longer afford to support the Mountain Scholar instance. All the libraries currently part of Mountain Scholar had to decide whether to migrate to ContentDM with CSU or strike out on their own. Strauss Library considered our options, and with University of Colorado Boulder using Samvera, decided to pursue migrating to Samvera. The Center for Nursing History of Northeastern Pennsylvania (CNH) at Misericordia University documents the history of nursing and the many nursing schools in the Keystone State's Wyoming Valley. In 2015, the Center received a grant to digitize and host its photograph collection to establish a stable digital environment for this regionally significant collection. This presentation will share some challenges, successes, and lessons learned during the migration of over 500 digital objects from ArtStor Public Collections to the Library's institutional repository on Digital Commons.

Launched in 2006, the eScholarship@UMassChan institutional repository has been an important digital platform at UMass Chan Medical School, hosting faculty research, student research, and unique original publications and scholarship. In June 2021, UMass Chan’s Lamar Soutter Library decided to migrate eScholarship@UMassChan from the bepress Digital Commons platform to two separate hosted platforms. Most content – over 25,000 items representing faculty and staff publications, theses and dissertations, conference proceedings, and departmental and project collections – moved to Open Repository, a DSpace repository platform hosted by Atmire.
