A Comparison Of The Performance Of Five Randomly Selected Groups Of 1978-1979 Eighth Grade Students On Five Different Stanford Achievement Test Batteries Standardized In 1929, 1940, 1952, 1964, And 1973, Vaughn D. Chambers

The purpose of this study was to examine the test performance of five randomly selected groups of 1978 students on five different versions of the Stanford Achievement Test. Three types of comparisons were made. First, the test scores of the five groups of 1978 students in grade 8.1 were compared with each other on the 1929, 1940, 1952, 1964, and 1973 Stanford Achievement Tests. Second, the test scores of each 1978 test group were compared with the test scores of the 8.1 normlng group for each test. Characteristics Of Parents Involved In A Parent Child Center-Head Start Program, Rebecca Selove

An exploratory study was conducted to provide information for the coordinators of the Parent Child Center and Head Start (PCC-HS) Program in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Staff concern for parent involvement led to a search for parent characteristics which correlate with amount of participation in program activities. Sixty-five families, which included 65 mothers, 47 fathers, and 121 children, constituted the study sample. Data were obtained from records maintained by the PCC-HS staff. Variables included number of hours volunteered, age and level of education of each parent, estimated family income, family size, mother's enrollment in PCC when pregnant, number of children in the …

This major internship for the Specialist Project was served in Glen Oaks Community College, Centreville, Michigan. This 2-year college institution was established in June of 1965 and during the internship had a student enrollment of over 1,200 full-time equated (FTE) students. There were four main divisions through which programs were offered to students. They were: (a) Liberal Arts, (b) Vocational/Technical, (c) Nursing, and (d) Community Service. The supervisor of the internship was Mr. Rodger J. Eckhardt, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

This report summarizes a six-weeks internship in the Kalamazoo Public School System served during the summer of 1979.

The purpose of the internship was to introduce the intern to the roles, duties and responsibilities of the Personnel Director of the Employees Services Department of the Central Office.

The primary areas studied were research data, unemployment data, interviewing procedures, planning functions, labor relations and affirmative action.
