The catastrophic impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is well-presented across countries featured on a helicopter view. However, studies on business activities as proxies to business functions that are exclusively affected by the pandemic are scarcely found, which in turn might cause ineffective recovery policy. Using Indonesia as a case in point, this study aims at codifying the particular business activities to proxy the functions that have been impacted across the sectors and business owners’ perception on the government’s policy. Redefining Banking Through Defi: A New Proposal For Free Banking Based On Blockchain Technology And Defi 2.0 Model, Francesco Spinoglio

This article aims to offer a new free banking proposal with a 100% cash ratio that uses the DeFi 2.0 model. The current monetary system, based on Central Banking with fractional reserve, has created a huge debt spiral and has distorted the entire production system, which produces deep recurring socioeconomic crises that increasingly impoverish citizens. This paper presents an innovative proposal that aims to take advantage of blockchain technology using the Defi 2.0 model. It would be a first attempt to merge centralized finance with the DeFi world, laying the foundation for a fairer and more decentralized monetary society.

The resource‐based theory eloquently posits that competitive advantage is associated with different and heterogeneous resources. In his early work, Moore argues that business itself was a MacIntyrean practice. He later rejected this view in response to criticisms from Beadle and others. Most subsequent work, including that of Moore, adopted a view of organizations, including firms, as institutions that house a core practice. We first recount Moore’s early view, defend and it from various criticisms. We then briefly review research in management and finance arguing that this research supports a view of business consonant with Moore’s early view. The U.S. counseling profession is mostly female, with many practitioners interested in starting their own business. However, little is known about women’s lived experiences of owning a group counseling practice. An interpretative phenomenological analysis approach was used to explore the lived experiences of six female licensed professional counselors who have owned a group counseling practice for at least 5 years. Phenomenology and feminist theory provided a framework for the study. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the experiences of 50 personnel from four Metro Washington D.C. area fire departments, 23 firefighters and 27 officers, at varying experience levels and ranks to determine if there was leadership training throughout a firefighter’s career that enhanced their leader development, improving teamwork needed to achieve operational objectives.
