Family-owned businesses constitute a substantial portion of the workforce and GDP in South Africa and, with limited work opportunities in the public sector, play a significant role in job creation. As a result, family enterprises significantly influence South Africa's economy. This study aims to understand consumer loyalty towards family-owned businesses as brands by investigating family-owned businesses in the small mining town "Stilfontein" in the North-West Province, South Africa. Qualitative data collection involved semi-structured interviews with customers of family businesses to gather insights into brand loyalty. Assessing Career Development Curriculum Within A Business Capstone, Molly Wickam

This study sought to assess how career development curriculum embedded in business capstones provides learning experiences that bridge college to career. Experiential learning theory, andragogy, and Social Cognitive Career Theory were used to create and assess a class assignment named Business Capstone Bingo. Case study research design using qualitative descriptive methodology and thematic analysis was employed. Findings showed that participants preferred career development activities over non-career development activities, LinkedIn is a valuable career development tool, and professional resume assistance is helpful to adult undergraduates earning a bachelor’s degree. The U.S small and medium businesses (SMBs) are constantly attacked by cybercriminals. Alarmingly, the number of victimized SMBs is growing considerably every year. This results in the increasing loss of billions of dollars and risks to the national economy. The problem addressed was the rising number of cyberattacks critically harming SMBs resulting in revenue loss, damages to reputation, and business closure. The purpose of this research was to reveal the contemporary barriers and challenges that impact cybersecurity competencies of SMBs. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 caused a global shutdown that immediately stopped all revenue of hosting sporting events for sports leagues. This resulted in a financial struggle for these leagues and organizations that they had to work to overcome. Using public access to financial statements and records, this report examines the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sports leagues and organizations and how they were able to recover in the years following the pandemic.

An enhanced economic philosophy, conscious capitalism, is ascending in the United States and gaining traction in helping corporations redefine their approach to business. This article analyzes and evaluates conscious capitalism, integrates it with biblical economics and the social justice faith tradition, and explores its relationship to business education. Business education researchers have the opportunity to integrate conscious capitalism ideas into business curriculum to give students ideas that broaden their understanding of an enhanced model of capitalism and the ways capitalism can do good. Crowdsourcing and customer loyalty are two salient issues that offer tremendous opportunities and challenges in the U.S. lodging industry. Crowdsourcing has been empirically demonstrated to deliver substantial benefits at a reduced cost while retaining and enhancing the value of loyal customers has been the elusive “Holy Grail” of lodging companies for at least the past four decades. Moreover, the cost of today’s loyalty programs in the lodging industry is high and growing, while the true loyalty they ostensibly engender is dubious. St. Cloud Area Quarterly Business Report

St. Cloud area unemployment reached its lowest point since measurement began in 1990, registering at 1.8% in April 2022. Area economic growth was very strong in the months leading out of the Omicron wave of the pandemic, with a majority of survey respondents reporting higher business activity in the February to April period. Over 70% reported paying higher wages and charging higher prices for their goods and services. 5 of 6 leading indicators were positive. The role of the tourism industry of The Bahamas is important as it is the prevailing industry in this growing country. According to The Bahamas Ministry of Statistics, in 2018 the country had approximately 1.6 million stopover visitors and 5 million cruise visitors that year, which would make it the largest industry in the country by a far margin. Most of the tourists who visit The Bahamas originate from the USA due to its closeness with the country. The Bahamas, which is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean is 50 miles southeast of Florida.
