Retention of teachers in correctional organizations is an ongoing challenge. A correctional education setting is a nontraditional unstable academic setting where teacher turnover is one third within the first 5 years. The purpose of this descriptive qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the lived experiences of leaders in correctional organizations who are challenged with finding ways to reduce teacher turnover in a juvenile correctional facility. Between the years 2013 and 2016, e-commerce sales grew as a percent of total retail sales in the United States from 5.8% to 8.5%, an increase of $129 billion. Work-life balance remains a challenge for transformational leaders who are managers in the hospitality industry. Guided by the principles of leader member exchange theory, this quantitative study investigated how transformational leadership level predicted a commitment to work-life balance roles for 100 degreed frontline hotel managers. In particular, the effects of transformational leadership and commitment on job roles, family roles, friendship roles, and social roles were explored. Exposure to traumatic situations is routine for child welfare workers in California, and the attrition rate for newly hired social workers in some states is estimated to be nearly 50% in the 1st year of employment. An evaluation rubric was developed to assess instructional technology tools used within online business programs to enhance learner engagement and content presentation skills. The evaluation was designed to determine if the instructional technology within the lesson helped to engage the learner, impact the assessment of outcomes, and improve the ability to present the content of the learning material. In this case study example, an instructional lesson was developed to instruct learners in creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using a project management software tool. Introduction: General aviation missions related to furtherance of business potentially carry higher risk (operations in adverse weather, at night, for longer distances) than those undertaken for recreation. The study herein was undertaken to determine fatal accident rates, proportions, and risk factors/causes. Method: The National Transportation Safety Board aviation accident database was queried for accidents (1996–2015). Annual fleet times were from the general aviation annual activity survey. Statistical analyses used Poisson distributions, proportion testing, and Cohen’s Kappa tests.
