Translating The Research: Keyword Advertising For Lean Start-Ups, Arthur P. Sullivan, Gregory W. Sullivan, John A. Sullivan

This paper extracts and translates for application findings emerging from the research on keyword advertising. Five conclusions emerge. First, developing a comprehensive collection of keywords for a new product or service is useful for all businesses, whether or not keyword ads will ultimately be bought. Second, analyzing keyword searches identifies the existence and trend of demand from user search frequency for all businesses. Third, keyword advertising is too expensive for many products and some services, and most lean start-ups. Fourth, there are effective alternates to keyword advertising. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify and synthesize major streams of research on quality of student experience in higher education, in order to present an agenda for future research.

Is 'Equal Pay For Equal Work' Merely A Principle Of Nondiscrimination?, Jeffrey Moriarty

Should people who perform equal work receive equal pay? Most would say ‘yes’, at least insofar as this question is understood to be asking whether employers should be permitted to discriminate against employees on the basis of race or sex. But suppose the employees belong to all of the same traditionally protected groups. Is (what I call) nondiscriminatory unequal pay for equal work wrong? Drawing an analogy with price discrimination, I argue that it is not intrinsically wrong, but it can be deceptive, in which case it is wrong.

A new socioeconomic development model has emerged, whereby, seed capital for small business start-ups is provided directly from shareholder-investors rather than multilateral aid or official development assistance (ODA). Background: Low persistence rates have continued to plague community colleges. A framework linking perceived service quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intent has been identified in the existing literature and found to be useful in various service sectors outside of higher education. Purpose: To explore the relationship between community college students’ perceptions of service quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intent (intent to persist) regarding first interactions with their colleges. This paper reports on a study which explored the customer perspective on their roles in SST encounters in a tourism context, through the theoretical lens of service-dominant logic. The study employed short qualitative interviews with airline passengers at an international airport. The findings suggest that customers can assume six roles in an SST encounter which can be viewed as either positive or negative in terms of value creation. Therefore, a key contribution of this paper is the development of a role-experience continuum which depicts the variations in customer experiences of value creation in a tourism context.

This article outlines aspects of an action research study examining the emergence of these characteristics within change management teams made up of nurses, general practitioners, physiotherapists, care assistants, a health and safety officer, and a client at two residential care facilities for older people in Ireland. Microfinance institutions have helped multiple people around the world start their own businesses and become entrepreneurs through the process of microloans and offering credit at lower rates. The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of microloan on the very poor low income borrowers in Punjab, Pakistan. Although this study was not conducted, the research is based on empirical investigation of interviews taken around the area.
