Catching The Behavior Of Stock Market: Numerical Approach To Estimate The Catalytic Chemical Model Parameters, Zäafri Ananto Husodo, Lenny Suardi, Ririen Setiati, Risca Fleureta Hudiyono
The Indonesian Capital Market Review
This research proposes a numerical approach in estimating the trend of behavior of this market. This approach is applied to a model that is inspired by catalytic chemical model, in terms of differential equations, on four composite indices, New York Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Hang Seng, Straits Times Index, and Jakarta Stock Exchange, as suggested by Caetano and Yoneyama (2011). The approach is used to minimize the difference of estimated indices based on the model with respect to the actual data set. The result shows that the estimation is able to capture the trend of behavior in stock market well.

The Indonesian Capital Market Review
This paper is motivated by the fact that emerging market assets size has been expanding and trying to use sovereign debt market as part of capital market as main research focus. It is highlighting the distinction between default and non-default determinants and examining their significance in explaining emerging market sovereign bond yield spread. Using Cross-Sectional Fixed-Effect Panel Estimator, we found that both default (as proxied by Credit Rating and Outlook Index) and non-default (as proxied by 3-month Fed Funds Futures) determinants has significant explanatory power to sovereign bond yield spread. Unpredictable circumstances, growing stresses in an ever-increasing global market, and ubiquitous ennui have left organizations and today’s leaders in government, industry, and academia without the necessary tools to transition to change in a principled manner. The authors explain that the development and maintenance of genuine leadership skills — adaptive to the dictates of the modern world — must be borne from one’s inner self, a retreat to spirituality. One available method of achieving this is through Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning (EFEL), a technique whereby leaders develop critical management skills by working with horses.

The University has historically been regarded as the harbinger of values, human rights, and other noble pursuits. It is within this atmosphere that personal development, mutual respect, and collaboration are expected to flourish through commitment to work and study. Yet in order for meaningful and sustainable social, economic, and political changes to take root, the author opines that certain adjustments to the overall social fabric are occasionally required and can only be achieved through unyielding commitment — an essential value transmitted from person to person through both individual and collective reflection.

Author and scholar Satinder Dhiman focuses upon the pervasive and necessary role of spirituality in values-based leadership. He notes that while the leadership literature is plentiful, the Bhagavad Gītā represents one of the very few writings which explores the core psychological, philosophical, ethical, and spiritual underpinnings of leadership roles. In this article, the author applies hermeneutics to the Gītā to highlight important leadership lessons and to apply such lessons to contemporary organizational leadership. Through selfless work, a true leader eschews an egoistic pursuit of self-aggrandizement to achieve the freedom of serving others. Thus, Dhiman concludes, the Gītā teaches its readers …

Favoritism is a controversial issue in many cultural settings. Related terms include nepotism and cronyism; all three are identified with misconduct in the merit-based business world. The flip side is ethics — the principles of conduct governing an individual or a group (Merriam-Webster, 2012).
